The rest of the country would be throwing a tantrum if we snuck in with a losing record by winning the division.

What would your thoughts be? Would you think something needs to be done about how teams get into the playoffs? Would you say divisions need to be realigned?

The rest of the country would say we didn't deserve to even be in the playoffs.

Realignment is dumb (just like this thread) because just a few years ago nfc west was a joke. But if Seattle won that year or we won this year, would anything change at all?

Division winners would always get into the playoffs. Maybe not host a game though

If a 7-9 Saints team beats an 11 win Lions or Seahawks team, probably the only thing that would be talked about as far as being changed is who gets homefield in the wild card round playoffs.

If we won the Superbowl I doubt that.

I didn't bitch when Seattle got in, so I'm certainly not saying anything now

I can't believe the NFL would change anything, as it would be a huge marketing frickup. This system keeps fan interest alive until the last possible moment.

Pigs really, really would fly.

That said, I'd be happier with it than if the team had gone 15-1 and won it. I would absolutely love listening to the wailing and gnashing of teeth. And we could say that the Saints earned every bit of it.

The system is fine.

Actually it doesn't really matter what system you use, people will constantly bitch about something find a flaw in it. But the current system in place is probably the best for the NFL.

The only thing I woudl think about changing is the seeding... You get ther 4 divisional winners + 2 wild card teams and then you reseed them based off of record.

Must have a winning record to host first round. That will happen.

That would be disrespectful towards a division winner that proved its the best out of four teams in a 16 team conference.

You win your division, you get a top 4 seed and one guaranteed home playoff game.

We aren't winning the Super Bowl. With Byrd out and our D in shambles and an inconsistent offense we just aren't good, a win over the Steelers gives me hope, but I just don't see it, we have too many holes.

Dont change the rules. Never thought they should, even with 2010 SEATTLE.

I'd just like realignment to get to play STL, SF, or DAL more often.

I like the current format. It adds to the drama.
