Most overrated coach in history.

The Giants have to be thinking of moving on.

This is an exaggeration.

But I do believe he needs to leave.

You'd think so but he has more lives than a cat. Every time you think he's gone, he wins a ship.

A guy like him is almost un-firable. HOF coach with 2 rings. He's getting old tho, maybe he should retire.

If anything I imagine he "retires" after this year.

Giants aren't gonna use a term like fire for a legend though.

The Mara's are tremendously loyal folks. Would be a surprise to see them cut loose a two time SB winner.

Two ships? What do ships have to. Do with football?

The man took the Jacksonville Jaguars to two AFC championship games and won two Super Bowls in New York. He's probably gonna be okay.

I agree with this. However, I could see them asking him to retire. They will treat him with much respect.

Based on their record and the last couple of seasons I think it is easy to blow off Coughlin and call for his job...

But if you have actually watched the Giants and witnessed their unbelievabley shitty luck with injuries (especially on the oline and with RB's) I think is obvious that it's not the coaching. Coughlin is a damn good football coach, but media is brutal here and with the recent success, the fan base isn't having it.

I think losing to JAX was the last straw. Has to be.

If Coughlin has control over the GM in personnel decisions, then maybe. Some NFL coaches do, some not so much. I frankly do not know.

However, he will be treated with respect and has earned that right in my opinion regardless.

i thought that the Giants offense had been looking better in recent weeks.

they got Jennings back and really could have beat the Cowboys last week.

i just think they are caught in some quick sand right now.

the way that they've blown some leads and the margin they've lost by a few times are almost a perfect receipt for a coach getting canned or resigning.

i think maybe another reason he might be under fire is because of the success Dallas and Philly are having.

cause... lets be honest the NFC East has been mediocre the last few years but this year you finally have 2 teams who could challenge deep into the playoffs.

whether they will or won't is another story but I think it ties into some of the rumblings about Coughlin.

he's reinvented his style and won a few Super Bowls before so I don't know if the blame is solely on him.

injuries play a part but the good teams find a way to overcome that kind of stuff.

GM Jerry Reese handles all personnel decisions and is rumored to have overruled coaches a lot

they'll probably give him one more year...and he'll win the Super Bowl, again.
