Question about white buildings on Barataria Blvd

In front of Shaw High School, what were these buildings?

Hope haven, took in homeless unwanted kids. That was a while ago, not sure if it's still for that purpose.

On one side of the blvd it appears two buildings are hope haven and maybe casa hope but on the side closest to Shaw it appears those buildings are abandoned. Was wondering what these buildings were in years past?

All Hope Haven. There was a kid that was killed in an elevator a long time ago in one of those buildings.
