He would be an improvement over what they've got now

No.

We should look at Mike Nolan or Perry Fewell.
Then we need to try to get Kromer back or Tony Sparano to coach the OL.
Then we can hire Bobby April to coach special teams.

Somebody call Loomis and let him know.

Nolan has had 1 good year with Atlanta. Dunno about Fewell, but from the looks of the NYG record I doubt he's even worth getting.

This would be sick. Sparano is probably going to leave the Raiders after this year. Doubt we'd get Kromer back.

Anyone is better than McMahon at this point.

How hard can it be, at the prices paid, to find someone with competence that can shape our defense into at least a top 15 defense? Would take so much pressure off the offense and the whole gameplan would be less risk taking and desperate.

If we would have had that in 2011, or just have a defense that can stop on 3rd and long or 4th..it's sad.

Look at their careers. Nolan is a hell of a DC. He and Singletary built that defense of San Fransico. He also was in Baltimore and Cincy. Really good DC. Fewell has done good with a good DL. He's young, but might be the best of what's available.

Look at the players he's had to deal with in ATL. Their GM signs players like a typical fan, big named veteran - lets give him a big deal so he can do for us what he did in his prime.
