There has been a lot of discussion about losing Sproles on the offense, but the biggest key to me is losing the starting center for the last two years, Brian De La Puente, and replacing him with a broken down and old Jonathan Goodwin. The pressure up the middle on Drew Brees has been tremendous. Hell, I think Lelito has done a better job when he has been in the lineup. What would it have really cost us to keep him?
As for Jed Collins? What exactly in the hell has Lorig done? Absolutely ZERO. 2 carries for 3 yards, 1 catch for 4 and a lost fumble. His blocking leaves a lot to be desired. Rail on the defense all you want. Under CSP this team has been built to survive with a middle of the pack defense knowing the offense could pretty much score at will. When you cannot protect the quarterback it ain't going to happen. And while I am it frick Jimmy Graham and his blocking skills, too. He needs to realize that there is more to being a player besides catching the ball.

Lorig sucks.

But I thought Austin Johnson was playing really well before the injury.
Better than Collins.

DLP was absolute garbage. Our Oline has played poorly since we lost Kromer. Looking for a key loss? Look at the dropoff after he left

Yeah the line is getting worse, not better. They gelled at the end of last year, but it took all year for that to happen. Now with the same players outside of center, the pass blocking is getting worse and the run blocking is spotty(I think better than the beginning of last year, but not as good as the end).

Maybe Evans' injuries just aren't healing? But Grubbs has dropped off too. I don't think this Oline coach is up to the task.

And Johnson is much better than Collins and Lorig. I was pushing for Johnson to start last year, and when he finally got his chance this year he shined. Lorig is looking like a huge bust. I think losing Johnson was a much bigger lose than people think.

Yep. Lorig has been horrible too. Great fricking acquisition Sean and Mickey.

And OP- DLP is and was dog shite.
