Rich Rod is a heck of a coach. You let Lloyd Carr backstab him and undercut his efforts to succeed.

SFP has made this point, but we needed Casteel to run the defense. It might never have worked out, even beyond people undercutting Rich Rod. Rich Rod probably would have had a good season in 2011 because that schedule was soft. But, Denard and Devin Gardner are flawed QBs who look good against bad competition.

no you didn't Casteel is so overrated. His defenses are usually VERY pedestrian but he'll throw out a good unit once every 4 or 5 years when he has experienced guys cuz his system is a PITA to learn.
Tony fricking Gibson is running a better 335 this year than Casteel ever did.

Rich Rod was absolutely terrible at Michigan. Dude didn't even teach his quarterback how to tie his shoelaces.
