Regarding the topic of this post this is what I posted on another thread that pertained to this topic. Les Miles thinks we are all idiots, the fans, the players and the media. He goes around for 3 weeks after such piss poor QB play and tells people for the most part that Brandon Harris is going to play in the last 2 games and he doesn't even play a series in one game let alone both. He even states after the game last night that he would have liked to have gotten BH in the game and that it was a mistake on his part to not do so. So basically he is deflecting and saying let them hear what they want to hear and then do whatever you want to do because there are absolutely ZERO repercussions and he knows it. He is playing everyone for a fool including BH. If anyone is remotely happy with how our QB played last night then they don't know football. Jennings was still only 57% on his passing for 107yds with 1-TD and 1-int, hell he ran for more yds than he threw for 119yds. We are not going to beat "and this year proves it" championship caliber teams with QB play throwing for 107yds and a 57% completion rate. We are not going to win Championships with that kind of play. We can win 8,9, 10 maybe even 11 games a year "including bowls" with that type of QB play because of our running game and defense, but we will not win a championship with those types of numbers if we can't pass the ball better. To put Jennings play in better perspective Completion % - 48.8 - Jennings is dead last in the SEC Passing yds- 1,460 yds - Jennings is dead last in the SEC Passing efficiency - 115 - Jennings is dead last in the SEC TD's thrown - 10 - Jennings is dead last in the SEC INT's % per Attempts - .032 - Jennings is dead last in the SEC What is absolutely crazy is we actually won 8 games this year with starting the statistically worst QB in the SEC. I am not bashing Jennings here, I really like Jennings you hear nothing but great things about his work ethic and he obviously has had no off the field issues or tweets stupid shite. I truly want the kid to succeed on the field and off the field but I want LSU to win championships also. That being said we can't win championships with the kind of QB play we have had this year. We can beat shitty teams like TAMU last night but we can't beat teams that can stop us from running the ball like Arkansas, Miss St, Auburn and Bama did. And the worst part about this is that I think we have all seen this story unfold before and the ending sucked. Jordan Jennings is going to get the nod because he has the experience and he does just enough not to lose his position. We have JJ for another 2 years of playing time when we all thought he was out of eligibility. I would have rather lost that game last night "although I don't think we would have with how we were running it down their throats" and rather seen what Harris would have done, than won the game with that kind of QB play. If anyone is expecting Harris to win the starting job during the spring or summer better think again. This is JJ's team again and we all are going to have to suffer through this one more time.

Irrefutable logic. Of course, it assumes that Jennings won't get much better.

But if this is true, and Jennings remains in the top spot...book it...Harris won't be hangin out here forever. And if he goes somewhere else and stars, and we lose the big ones...Miles is toast.

All I can say is if you were expecting a Championship from this years team then you are the one that is delusional. As far as Harris is concerned, again I say he will have his time to SHINE AGAIN, his time to shine this year was the Auburn game and he shite the bed. There will be other chances for him starting MAYBE in the bowl game and definitely spring. This damn instant gratification society we have now just blows my mind. And if you think the coaching staff is just playing to lose, well I don't know what to tell you besides you may want to donate your money to a shrink than the TAF. Again, what possession LAST NIGHT would you have pulled Jennings to put in Harris. Do elaborate please. Again, WHICH POSSESSION WOULD YOU HAVE PULLED JENNINGS?

Dude Jennings shits the bed every week. Atleast Harris was bad against auburn on the road. Jennings was terrible at ahome against NEW MEXICO STATE. let that sink in.

"In practice, He(Jennings) and Brandon goin' back and forth."- LF post game
I don't believe miles, but I do believe the players and by this statement it does sound like Harris is getting 50% of the snaps in practice.

Miles genuinely seems to want to get him into the game. Just was no good time to make that change in a game like that. While the upside of Harris is great, and Miles knows that, we needed the win last night.

boxcar-thanks sir, you gets it. Seems to me people was bitching about Harris not playing in LAST NIGHT game, and then they want to reference games from a month or so ago. Do they have ADD?? Lets stay on topic children, my point is LAST NIGHT game. And the games going FORWARD.

For those that don't understand what forward means, it means FUTURE.

I would LOVE to see Harris get playing time, hate that he isn't getting playing time. However, the rumors have been increasing that he simply cannot grasp the playbook. Yeah, I understand that it cant be much worse than what AJ is producing, trust me you are preaching to the choir. But if he cannot learn the playbook, Miles isnt going to let him play.

Miles has never developed a QB since he's been here. Flynn was Jimbo fisher. Miles 4or 5 OC's latter, still can't develop a QB. LET the KID with GOD GIVEN talent play, BRANDON HARRIS.

We needed the win last night lmao now you sound like miles, AJ and his 100 yards passing a night gives us a better shot at victory.... Then the hot shot young freshman who has a shot at the nfl with his ability and guess what Jennings killed A&M with the read opinion that happens to be what BRANDON HARRIS EXCELS AT we would have blown the roof off of the 12th man and beat them just like Bama did with a quarterback that had any talent at all... Anotheny Jennings will not get a try out for arena football with his lob throwing arse

There is a clear difference of playing not to lose and playing to win and that's what I see... Anthony Jennings is the conservative kitty cat that wants to beat you by a point and Brandon Harris is the aggressive TIGER that wants to beat the living piss out of you!!!

That's been the tag line of the season. Week in and week out we were told Harris would get pt. I just don't get it.

Seriously you actually thought Harris was going to get in the game last night? Wake up the only way Harris was getting in the game is if it were a blow out either winning or losing!!!

Winning, not losing. If he puts Harris in when we are losing badly and he rallys the team again, Miles' handling of the QBs comes into question and he will have none of that. I truly hope he is not continuously getting Harris' hopes up that he will play and then continually letting him down with the lame excuse that he wanted to but didn't get the chance.

I truly believe there is something wrong with Les Miles. Through his time here he has constantly claimed he wanted to play certain players but didn't get a chance to do so. Like he just forgot. As if during the game he loses track of time and situation. Like he can't follow through on the overall plan. Sort of like when he doesn't know the down or doesn't prepare for what if scenarios. He is without a doubt the most frustrating coach of any team I have ever followed and it is not even close. It takes a special talent to be as frustrating as Leslie Miles. Before he leaves LSU he is going to drive this fan base stark raving mad.

Now that is valid. He used to do that a lot with Russell Shepard.

I must be speaking to a fricking idiot. Didn't say I was expecting them to win a championship this year. I said that is a goal of the football team EACH & EVERY YEAR!

Didn't say he would not.

Yes he did, but Jennings play of the entire season has been much worse. So giving Harris another opportunity this year seems appropriate considering how Jennings has played - again worst stats for QB in the SEC

quote:

There will be other chances for him starting MAYBE in the bowl game and definitely spring.

It would be nice to see him play in a bowl I hope that happens. The likelihood of that happening considering the perfect opportunity at TAMU for Harris to get in didn't happen so I highly doubt to see him in the bowl game.

Has nothing to do with instant gratification. I stated very clearly that it was helpful planning for next year even if it cost us the game "that would have been instant not next year" that is thinking tomorrow not today.

And if you think the coaching staff is just playing to lose

Never said that, don't expect them to think that way either.

Wow can you not read I stated in one of my posts that I would have hoped they started him. If it wasn't this thread it was another that obviously you might not have read. But is starting the game "which means first series" a good enough answer.

Have a nice day.
