Is he the CEO or shareholder of an insurance company, or does he own a company that would benefit from cheap labor?

It was mostly about Obamacare - and my wife's parents are the type of people who would benefit most from it. They spend money they don't have by a longshot, and shrug their shoulders when they can't pay their bills. And they consider major medical bills to be something that doesn't really have to be paid. Yet they will go on and on about people of "another" race being freeloaders. It just got to the point where I couldn"t sit there and listen anymore without saying something. My parents, meanwhile, jumped in with heaps of Fox News rhetoric.

these are the worst kind of people.

Because everybody considers themselves an expert on the subject - you're wrong and I'm right and I got all day to convince you of such.

He's a day labor I think. After losing his job as a pipe fabracator you can find him at Home Depot sitting in his big truck listening to Rush hoping someone ask him to tile their floors. The dude is a total POS.

Obamacare severely hurt the self-employed. He's correct.

A couple years ago, they lived with us or around 4 months after my wife's stepdad broke his back. Her mom is very overweight and has other health problems, so she couldn't care for him. Her stepdad used to shuffle around my house mumbling "Jesus" over and over. I used to leave my atheist books laying around so they'd see them. Finally on the day they were moving back home, I was watching a program on evolution. My son's friend was here, and he made a comment about "we didn't come from monkeys," which is exactly what her parents always say. I launched into a 5 minute diatribe on evolution and how the only people who don't believe it are simply not educated enough to understand. They were within earshot the whole time, so it was indirectly targeted at them. It was a glorious moment.

We live a good distance away from my immediate family but when we do get together we have so much to talk about we don't get to religion, politics, etc. We spend Thanksgiving with the In Laws, Italians, so there is a ton of loud talking and a conversation never goes past a sentence or two. LOL but true.

My MIL is a wonderful person other than being a huge commie liberal. I'm more of a middle of the road. We don't talk politics, ever. I'm not going to let some tards in D.C. ruin our relationship.

It's different online though. Here's it's mostly just shooting the shite between anonymous posters. IRL, relationships get poisoned and people end up not speaking to each other for years.

The oldest group (70+) sit around and talk about people they know dying. Their children, our parents, either watch football or cook and play with their grandkids. Then my siblings all just goof on each other about different things from when we were kids. The only time we'd argue is during card games when we'd bet for money.
