Dragon Age Origins Question

After the battle at Ostagar I head down the imperial highway and come up on the village in Lothering. I just left Lothering and haven't done anything else yet. I noticed that the pacing is very slow in the game so far. I fight for about 10 minutes, then have 4 hours of conversation, then fight for 10 minutes. Does that pace continue? Or is Lothering the last village with that many people to talk to? I managed to get about 500 quests from just that village.

I played for an hour earlier and enjoyed it more by doing what I want and not trying to do everything. That may be the key.

Well. I'll just say that Lothering is very, very small. If you didn't like all the quests you will probably not like the rest of what's in store.

I'm thinking the key may be to teach myself to only deal with 1 quest at a time.

dont grab all quests at once, get 5-10 at a time and then go quest, rinse and repeat.

The mod that let's you use tactics for your selected character is clutch.
