D+

No impressive wins, our passing game makes some high school programs look like the New England Patriots. Fournette was really the only bright spot of the season.

Texas A&M, Kentucky, Florida and Ole Miss are all on down years. We got shut out by Arkansas, humiliated by Auburn. How we came back versus Wisconsin is beyond me, or hung around with Alabama for that matter.

If this was high school, I'd understand the struggles of our passing game, but we are in the SEC. For LSU to come out and field this abomination of a passing game on a weekly basis is just disgusting. On top of that, Miles is too damn stubborn to change it up. Brandon Harris is a spread QB in a run heavy offense, I'll be shocked if he sticks around.

As I said, Fournette has been the lone bright spot of this season and hope to see someone else under center next season. As well as someone else on the sidelines but I know we're not that lucky.

We all did predict 3 or 4 losses since we knew Miles is the coach.

Question is where do you think this team gets with a top 10 coach? I'd say 2, we had the talent to beat Bama and Arkansas.

C this is the seaon when the teacher sits you down and tells you - you can be an A student but you need discipline and committment to excellence.

You need to reorganize priorities and study.

Are you willing to accept C performance?

Or do you want to be the best you can be?

2 positives - Fournette and improved defense.
Toothaches - QB, dropped passes, plodding offensive game plans, 4 losses

Overall grade D+/C- (depends on bowl outcome

Considering how bad Jamal Adams played, that Beckwith is the worst MLB in LSU history, how Godchaux and Lacouture stunk it up in the middle, the pitiful play of Pocic, and how unathletic Chi and Quinn are, I see what you mean about Fournette being the only bright spot.

4 losses is meh
Owned by Bama yet again
Passing game terrible
Starting QB awful and backup rarely played

There were positives but not enough to get excited about

Now I see why education is bad these days. Too many easy graders.

I'd call it a solid D. A .500 SEC record is not mediocrity at LSU, it's a bad season. Had LSU not beaten A&M, I would have given it an F. The young players excuse is just an excuse. Bama reloads and keeps moving every year. But they're Bama and that's their history, so we should just except we be as good or better than Bama, right?

And while the poster made some good points about the emergence of some young players, the athleticism of Dupre and Quinn is irrelevant when the QB is a 48 percent passer. Furthermore, the defense got better immediately after it finally sunk in to bench Welter and let Beckwith and Adams play a lot. That only took half a season, which is a coaching issue (and I'm willing to blame Chavis if he was actually responsible for those personnel calls instead of Miles).

But hey, let's keep giving out Cs to .500 records in the SEC and keep accepting and rewarding mediocrity or worse (and this year was worse than mediocrity). Miles and Alleva are grateful for your support. Miles is only making $4.25 million and will get a bonus for whatever shitty bowl LSU attends. Maybe we should give him a raise so he can do better.

I think most thought this was going to be a 3-4 loss team.

I was going to post a thread this morning on The Rantards preseason predictions and how they played out. I had us at 9-3 but that was very optimistic. Defense improved vastly from last season and earlier this season. Offense regressed worse than expected.

Money... thx for posting. The only thing I disagree with a little is the part about Miles being stubborn... I used to think this but now I believe he is not capable of complex thought and doing what it takes to change things. Call it whatever you want but I think he is just "Simple Minded" on these things. Not stubborn.

You lost to Arkansas. And it's not the loss as much as it is the way they lost. Not to mention the offense took a giant step back into the Les Miles mode that we've come to love.

The defensive turn around is worth a B plus.
Qb play brings down to an F.
Running game/ backs Oline effort bring back to a C.
Bad penalties and shitty kicking bring back to a D.
We all expected a 3-4 loss year.

So I'll C minus.

I think LSU is fav to win west next year.
Alabama, au, state and ole miss all losing qb and key players.
Qb play at LSU has gotta improve, I don't see how it can be worse.
It's pretty obv to anyone with eyes what LSU missed in 2014.

Certainly men making 10milllion bucks combined can get this squared up.

Another winning season. Still I'm left with visions of what could have been had we held on to beat Bama.

To CLM and my Tigahs! Thanks for the memories!

3-4 losses with the youth and inexperience was expected. I would give the season a solid C but am concerned about next year. There is a lot of work to be done a QB.

Damn these are all over the place.

Vast majority have the season in the "C" range.
