Looking for a Springfield M1A, Nat'L Match/Supermatch

Ok? Are you asking where to get one, where to get a good deal or just that you are simply getting one?
I own an M1a that I bought at the tail end of the Sandy Hook Gun Grab. It's my favorite rifle to shoot and is the best shooting rifle with iron sites. Saying that, I put a Trijicon Accupoint 3x9 scope on it with mildot crosshairs. I reload 168gr sierra GameKing Bullets for it and have killed 2 deer with it. That bullet shoots great through my rifle and does some nasty damage to a deer.
I bought my rifle for $1,400 at Simmons Sporting Goods in Bessemer, AL. They have great deals for guns and that price for a new m1a was awesome during the Sandy Hook Gun Grab.
Good luck on getting your rifle. You will definitely enjoy shooting it.

M1A NM here, won't sell, ever. So that tells you to buy one, now, period.
A joy to shoot with irons out to 300. Nostalgia, usefulness, 308, good looks, and more all in one package.

wryder post a pic of that bad boy. That setup sounds awesome!
I don't own one but every M1A owner I've talked to has been so passionate about how great of a rifle it is. All the hype is making me really want one.

Got mine in 1992 for a divorce present to myself, after lusting for one for several years.
The good part? Just over $800.00 out the door from the Harahan WalMart.
Like most people, I'll never sell it. The absolute best iron sights around, I used to routinely bust water jugs at 300 yards with it.

Just looking to see if anyone has one out there for sale, there's a few out there on Gunbroker and Armslist but trying to look local first

Everywhere I have seen, a used one is nearly as much as a new one. Gunshows, Armslist, Gunbroker, it doesn't matter.
The good thing about an older used one is that it is much more likely to contain all or nearly all USGI parts, which IMHO are better than the current commercial cast parts.

Good luck, took me forever to find my national match. Definitely staying in my collection forever. I have the Sadlak airborne scope mount and have used a variety of scopes with medium rings I believe and I can still use the iron sights with the scope on. This gun is amazing with sights, so keeping that option is a must.
It shoots just about any round well too. It loves garbage ammo. It's a heavy monster though.

Ive always wanted a scout with an aimpoint and a suppressor.
I have the sight and the suppressor is coming, just need the scout.
