Aw lawd, you speaking my language.
I really love both. But I think I give a SLIGHT edge to bourbon...
.. But that might just be because it is what I've had more of lately.
Fantastic holiday drink either way. I brought brandy to last year's Christmas and had a grand time.

Same here. I think I am going to go with Bourbon. Just curious what others prefer.

I made some with Crown Maple and pretty much used exactly what is in the Bourbon punch and it came out great.

I'm gonna grab some Buffalo trace after work. Accidentally drank a fifth last week. Guess I should check to make sure I have nutmeg. I'm sure the wife does though.

I make the one below and I love it.
1/2 gallon of Bluebell homemade vanilla ice cream or the homemade vanilla brand of your choice
1 cup bourbon of your choice (you can substitute brandy, if you like)
1/2 cup amaretto
grated nutmeg
Allow the ice cream to melt. Use a funnel to transfer it to a gallon plastic container. Add the bourbon and the amaretto. Shake and refrigerate or freeze and defrost, if you want to make it ahead. Serve over ice and sprinkle a wee bit of nutmeg on top.
NOTE: I think it could use a bit more bourbon and I add just a little creme de cocao to it, simply because I like it.

I wouldn't usually drink a canadian whisky, but this sounds pretty dope.
Bourbon MP.

That's a win-win but I like the Brandy Milk Punch with brunch at La Petite Grocery.

Brandy is far superior in a milk punch.
EDIT: And why waste perfectly good bourbon on a mixer?

Got straight to business.
ETA: Just a little quality control. Is Buffalo Trace nice?
