not a troll at all.. these cops were called toa situation where someone was pointing a gun at people. They show up and the guy reaches for his "gun".... i dont expect them to ask him what he has. Shoot first, then sort out details... their lives are not worth risking in hopes this guy doesnt pull a gun and shoot them. This is the kids fault for putting himself in that situation

so what should the cops had done? Please let us know

Sorry that kid asked for that.

I don't think you can tell enough from that video to tell either way. Its sad, and it looks like the police could have handled it better, but I can't say either way for certain what really happened based on that.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe put themselves in a situation, physically or otherwise, where deadly force isn't the only way to diffuse the situation. Maybe don't pull up RIGHT NEXT TO a suspect allegedly carrying a firearm. Either they acted without standard procedure or they acted within standard procedure and the standard procedure is completely fricked.

I'm really disgusted right now. I'm trying to wrap my head around how anyone could justify killing a 12-year old boy. That's hard enough, but, there are actually people here who are saying, "Good job," and ,"Way to go,"?
What kind of sick fricks are you? Seriously, personal attack or not. Anyone who says or thinks that is a sick frick who doesn't deserve to share oxygen with decent people.

It really isn't about age, race, gender, whatever in my eyes.
The fact that people seriously and legitimately are advocating a "shoot first, sort it out later" approach is startling and disheartening almost to the point of it being funny.

terrible the kid lost his life. But the officers did their job, and the kid did it to himself. I would rather this solution than the cop getting shot. 12 year old or not, he can still kill someone. cop did his job, and he shouldnt even be crucified because of it

My 12 yr old son and my oldest son have some air soft guns that look pretty damn real. I guess I need to show him this video. That's really sad.

Who lets their kid run around a public park with a pellet gun that looks real? Why is he pointing it towards people like a damn fool in that park for almost half an hour? And why would that stupid kid walk towards a speeding patrol car with a pistol of any kind in his hand? Yes the cops could have handled the approach better, but there's blatant stupidity all over that video.

If they're white and live in a decent neighborhood they'll probably be just fine. Just stay away from schools.

Nope. Well, I guess he did do his job. He just did it terribly.

No one is advocating crucifixion. As a matter of fact, most people, myself included have said it's damn near impossible to infer malice from what we've seen and to do so would be irresponsible. The guy shouldn't be a cop, though. He and his partner are clearly in over their heads.

20 years ago, my parents did.

Cause he knows it's a fricking toy.

He was already walking when the cops pulled up and cut him off, and he did not have it in his hand. Even the cops said it was in his waistband in their CYA statement.

What's the race of the cop?

i just have several friends that are cops, and know what they deal with. It is a dangerous job and i guess i would rather them shoot first... than be shot first. When they get a call to a dangerous situation you really dont have time to ask questions, because if you do.. you could be dead. Cops catch a lot of crap on here, and i have bashed my share of them in the past, but they have a very dangerous job in this day and time and i really dont question any of their judgement in situations like this. the cop didnt create the situation, he just ended up having to deal with it. And im sure he didnt wake up in the morning saying he hoped he shot someone today, but part of his job puts him in those situations where it could happen.

For real? This happens all over the place.

He was an elementary school student, a 12 year old kid. Not even a teenager yet.

Sounds like poor parenting. I am a hell of a lot older thn you, ore orange tip pistols, and I was told not to run around with a fake gun and never point it or draw it around an officer. I knew this at 5yrs old

No one cares. Literally no one. Completely irrelevant.
But by all means, continue to try and discredit and question the logic of a fricking 12 year old in lieu of attributing A LITTLE BIT of culpability to your beloved cop bro.
