The way I see RG3's career turning out, it's starting to remind me a lot of Vince Young. Like Young, RG3 had a stellar rookie season, but since then, his play has been anything but stellar. Injuries are part of the reason for his struggles, but unless he can get back to being a play-making QB, his career will fizzle out just like Vince Young's did. They are similiar QB's in their athletic ability and style, but their careers could be very similiar as well.

I wonder if RG is blowing all his cash at the cheesecake factory?

I could see it in general terms.

RG3 had a way better rookie year than Vince Young though, and has looked better than him in general. Bush or Colston got robbed of the ROY awards.

RG3 is 13-20 as a starter. VY was 31-19, albeit with a significantly lower career QB rating.

Vince did a lot of damage to his career with immaturity and off-field shenanigans. It wasn't always pretty on the field either, but he got the job done for the most part.

Vince Young was throwing to Drew Bennett. RGIII has been throwing to Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson.

Methinks RGIII has had a bit more to work with.

RG3 looked really good that first year before the injury, and a disaster ever since.

Did Vince Young EVER look good in the NFL?

I doubt it because of the type of family that he comes from.

RGIII needs to go sit behind Tom Brady a year.

They both had better rookie year than him. He threw more interceptions than touchdowns. The only reason he won ROY was quarterback bias. A decent to bad qb candidate will always beat out a good candidate of any other position in those awards.

Present your argument that Young had a better year than either of those two players.

I can't believe RG3's career has gone downhill so fast.

He had the best rookie season for a QB that I can ever personally remember. He was ridiculously good, and now he's losing his job to colt mccoy.

Agreed,

70 receptions, 1038 yards, 86LNG, 14.8AVG, and 8 TDs

or

155 carries for 565 yards (3.6YPC), 6TDs, 2 FumL
88 receptions for 742 yards (8.4AVG), 2 TDs
28 PR for 216 yards, 1 TD

or

184/357 (51.5% completion), 2199 yards, 12 TDs/13INTs
83 carries for 552 yards, 7 TDs, 3 FumL (11Fum)

Colston was the 6th rookie to ever get 1000 yards receiving in his rookie season so it was a rarity at the time, still is since 2006 there's been only two: AJ Green and Keenan Allen (probably add 2 more this year).

I don't think Reggie should have gotten it. Especially since Joseph Addai had a better rookie season, but Colston had a legitimate case. 1k rookies are rare annd it wasn't like the situation going into 2006 was nice.

RGIII is not nearly as stupid as VY. That's the only difference.

Obvious Aggie Bias is obvious. Vince was a spectacular talent just beyond stupid.
