So in summation, this guy has done over 99% of the major career progression in terms of his professional development since a string of incidents occurred, the last of which took place 24 years ago?

Not sure he has much career progression.

He has been two things really, a DL coach and a HC. He was an abysmal failure at the latter.

Very true, but we would hire him for the prior and recruiting. Make the hire, IMO.

Well, if he's a dirty recruiter and Frank Wilson was on his staff for 4 years, doesn't that make Frank dirty too?

Frank was seen as a Trooper Taylor type before we hired him.

It always amazes me how LSU fans think the program is squeaky clean.

I was doing my best to diplomatically reference that earlier in this thread. But Aikeem Hicks, DeAngelo Benton and DJ "Dud" McCarthy are far from the only issues this program has had since Miles took over on the recruiting trails.

Now there have been other, more egregious examples of dirty recruiting (Scam Robinson, Greg "Facebook for iPhone" Robinson, and everyone's favorite Trovon Reed), but recruiting is and has always been a gray area. For almost every program out there.

He didn't leave USC for another coaching job. So technically he was fired. Yeah they replaced the HC, but he was still fired.

You know who was fantastic at doing that while he was here and is still great at it now? Nick Saban.

Saban has gone...time to move on

If we are cheating we obviously suck at it. But no, we got in trouble for akeim hicks and self reported and fired the coach. We also could back up the Lyles thing while Oregon couldn't. There was one other thing I think with making too many phone calls, but that is bush league compared to what other programs do. I guess UT fans still think we pay players with poker chips.

I'm all for ed, but not as a rbs coach. If we could get a rb coach, get rid of peveto and let O be the recruiting guy then I'm all for it. But this is if Frank leaves.
