Everyone knew there would be riots and they could have been stopped before they started. Instead of letting them mass and get their nerve up, WHY was there not a dusk to dawn curfew? Get the bad guys and their sympathizers off the streets and keep them off. But the cowards did not have the guts to protect lives and property because they feared the media. Every time people have gathered in Ferguson there has been violence.

You hear LEOs talking about outside people coming in just to riot. If you know who they are..ARREST THEM BEFOREHAND. These gatherings are obviously organized and orchestrated, find the leaders and hold them responsible for the actions of their followers. Michael Brown's stepfather should be in jail today.

But the local and state officials everywhere are scared spitless of a hostile and angry media that want that policeman's head on the end of a pike. Some of the questions asked at the announcement that no charges would be filed were sickening.

This entire episode of violence is being promoted aided and abetted by said media and someone is going to have to grow a set and take them on..head on. If we can find someone with some backbone. They have caused this country a lot of grief giving us this President, and they have propped him up while he has caused a lot of misery.

There was an election in 2012 and another earlier this month - that is what elections are for. It is the democratic process. That is where you start to correct grief.

No doubt it would have. As far as I am concerned this is on the media and the race baiters.

Not as long as politicians lie and the public defends them for it just because we all have a "side" invested.

There is no political will to punish the wrong doers....starting with the two top asshats...Obama and Holder. The rule of law in the country is gone.....invest in lead!

In Texas the store owners would have been waiting with loaded guns. It would have been stopped pretty quickly. No way people here would have not protected their properties.
It broke my heart to see the picture of the store owner that got robbed by Brown, and then had his store destroyed in his memory. What kind of a country have we become?

Didn't gerrymandering get rid of most of the Democrats?

It should have been easier than that. All they really had to do was kick all the media out of town. That would have stopped the influx of community agitators, the police wouldnt have had to play so nice, and there would have been a lot less thugs to handle. The media circus is what made this thing blow up, and you could see it coming months ago. They were begging for a race riot story.

One of the reporters last night said early in the night that there were more media on the streets than protestors. That's what is wrong with media. They have inserted themselves into the story instead of just reporting the story - and it just gets worse.

If I was POTUS, I would have said a pardon is waiting for anybody who takes out an A.N.S.W.E.R commie. If they did it with two shots or less, they get Federal per diem.

I've enjoyed the "Hurricane Reporting" style of these people.

Cut to a dude in the 'marching stream' as he tries to keep moving with the crowd, looking back at the cameraman trying to keep up:

"We are still walking..it's built up to about 500 now...check back, we expect strengthening later..."

Another symptom of the 24 hour news cycle and overwhelming number of media outlets. They have to create something to fill up the lonely hours.

They could have gotten plenty of airtime from the Gruber story, which they ignored.

Bull Connor and his ilk created what we have today. His SS style tactics turned public opinion in favor of the demonstrators. George Wallace became a symbol when he stood in the schoolhouse door that the movement used to great advantage.

Without the heavy handed oppression of the Jim Crow crowd, the inevitable rioting and violence in the inner cities would have been viewed much differently and a lot less favorably.

And maybe tactics used by todays race baiters are not tolerated by the public and the media. They would not be able to claim the moral high ground

The called up the National Guard and hired dozens of extra police officers just to let them watch everything happen. They hired a bunch of spectators. Both sides are just a bunch of morons.
