Don't have a link, was listening in the truck.

- Black 'minister' in Ferguson talking about situation there, will not condemn the acts of violence
- Black caller states that there are 'two sets of laws' in the country, one for whites and one for blacks. White woman NPR host responds 'good points.'
- White LEO saying that force is justified when someone is reaching for a cop's weapon
- Black panelist says the LEO's view is skewed
- Black panelist says that there is a tradition of rioting in this country to achieve things, used when people 'don't have a voice'
- White male 'media analyst' for NPR asked to provide comment on how the media is presenting the information. He is critical of a graphic that FoxNews put on the bottom of the screen for one of their shows and doesn't mention any other news organization

Your tax dollars at work this morning.

What program were you listening to? The majority of shows broadcast throughout the day are produced by individual local stations, not NPR. Your tax dollars do not support individual local stations.

I believe it was called 'On Point.' Sounded national to me.

When 90% of the media is composed of guilty white liberals and black bigots, this is what you get.

The thing is, this case should make it obvious to most thinking people that just how far the media goes in order to promote a false narrative regarding white racism.

The truth is, it's mostly the other way around now.

Not really sure where this will all end.

On Point is produced by WBUR, Boston's local NPR station. Your local station pays for the right to re-broadcast this show. Your local station receives no federal government funding. None of your tax dollars contributed to this show.

On Point is similar to a round table television news program with a panel of guests. 'Experts' are selected to represent points of view. Often, the panel is biased or stacked in favor of one point of view. Definitely, not one of my favorite "NPR" shows.

Would my local station receive tax money or would it be totally supported by donations?

Funny how these panels ALWAYS "just happen" to be stacked in favor of the liberal POV.

"The View" has been on for maybe 15 years, and that idiotic show has always been stacked with left-wingers. Hell, they even brought back a Truther to be on the show.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, though.

That is correct. NPR does receive federal money through the CBP, but local stations do not. Local stations are financed by listeners to pay for NPR broadcasting rights.

Public Radio Finances

ETA: my own link states a 4.6% average budget funded by the government for member stations. And 11.4% for the CPB, so I stand corrected.

I just listened to this morning's show. It's called "On Point" with Tom Ashbrook, and today's guest host (who is frequently the guest host, by the way, was Jane Clayson. The show is produced in, and originates from, Boston University via WBUR public radio.
