I'm sure we could manage to find someone else to miss on guys like Willis, Collins, and noil. Not saying he is not a good coach but he isn't the god many make him out to be. We recruited well before him too.

I agree he is good but I don't see where he is so invaluable that we can't replace him. I mean he shouldn't have lost anyone that we wanted from the New Orleans area and not only did we lose Collins and Willis but his own nephew too "Noil" that is pretty unbelievable actually.

what are you talking about when you say "help us keep NOLA locked down." We lost 3 of the top 4 players from NO last year, two to rivals that we play every year and one to a west coast team. We also lost the top lineman in the country to our biggest rival. I believe we can do better

Not every year are you going to get everyone, he is still a hell of a good recruiter. Also LA has been getting more notiriety the last several years in recruiting, as well as as saban already new how rich the talent was. You don't see people in the state of Florida complainimg when they lose a recruit to an out of state school. Does it suck yeah but your not going to get everyone every year and some times athletes like speedy make decisions based on where they fit in best and how they will be used to the best of their abilities

Why would ppl be upset at losing him? Because LF got 5 carries against Arkansas? Or that he has Nola on LOCK (I mean except for Landon Collins, Speedy, Willis, etc)...

Say wilson did leave for troy. Would burton burns be a possibility as a replacement? Would he be interested if LSU came after him?

Doubt it, think he is close to retirement & has a great gig at bama.
I would think Juluke, Derek Lewis from Florida, went to st aug & recruits that area, may need a job
Larry porter still out there
Calvin Magee from Arizona is a louisiana guy but long time rich rod guy

It's a subversive Bammer plot to destroy The University of LSU.

Even though Troy is my alma mater, I hope he stays put where he is. With head coaching jobs comes a ton of responsibility, accountability, and headaches. Oh, and a lot of money too. Oh well, I had high hopes.

And so is the only coach that could recruit.

I wouldn't say the ONLY, coach. Have you seen the guys Cam has lined up at QB over the next 3 years?

I would hate to lose Wilson though, because he is one of the best in the business.

Gonna lose two coaches to Troy, and it's gonna facilitate O to LSU in dual capacities.

Who's the other coach we lose? We might lose Frank, but no other coach is leaving LSU to go to Troy. Would be a hell of a dip in salary to leave unless its for the HC position. Thats if whoever you're referring to cares about money. Which everyone does.

It's crazy how much we pay him compared to other unit coaches, but I'm definitely all for giving him another raise.
The extra $ is for his recruiting prowess obviously. He's worth his weight in gold.

Saban is not going to lose a member of his staff to LSU. He knows how important New Orleans is, and Burns is the person responsible for that area.
