Coachingsearch.com listed him as a front runner for the Troy job, would hate to lose him!

Pretty much everyone agrees if he wants to be head coach at LSU, he will have to go prove he can handle the job at a smaller school first. This may be a good opportunity for him to do that.

It's crazy how much we pay him compared to other unit coaches, but I'm definitely all for giving him another raise.

So would I, but If you want Miles gone, he's gone. So most people prob wouldn't care. He is on the offensive staff.

I'm sure we could manage to find someone else to miss on guys like Willis, Collins, and noil. Not saying he is not a good coach but he isn't the god many make him out to be. We recruited well before him too.

Got to think jabbar Juluke would get consideration, can recruit New Orleans & has running backs at tech for a few years

Oh no doubt, but would a new head coach do that? Especially one that doesn't really recruit LA. Would he even know to go after a guy with NOLA ties? Id assume Les could get a good rbs coach and hire a guy like juluke to take over recruiting, but Les knows the coaches here in LA and knows what guys could help us keep NOLA locked down.

If Frank were to leave and come back to be the LSU coach later down the road the main benefit I see is that he would still have LA recruiting connection and having to move to Alabama it would allow him to expand into a new area and he may have to recruit some athletes from Ga as well so, and we all know he is still going to recruit the lesser recruited guys from LA. That would be the benefit I guess.

I think he could land a better gig than that... He needs to aim higher for a slingshot job

Why? With how Porter turned out I'm surprised he'd get a shot at a HC job.

what are you talking about when you say "help us keep NOLA locked down." We lost 3 of the top 4 players from NO last year, two to rivals that we play every year and one to a west coast team. We also lost the top lineman in the country to our biggest rival. I believe we can do better

Les is a figure head, FW is the one that builds and has the relationships with these kids. No FW no LF, fact.

NEWS FLASH: It has always been that way.

i feel like these recruiting guys should go to OC first.

I can't think of a successful coach that went form position Coach to HC.
