Because Jennings' pass completion is 47% and we haven't passed for more than 150 yards in several games. Sometimes Harris provides a necessary spark like in the New Mexico State game, and we needed it more than ever against Arkansas.

LSU has a history of under developing QB's.

That is why Mett is the only one in the NFL that has any kind of shot at becoming a franchise QB.

JaMarcus not developing in the NFL is not on Miles or LSU, that is on him and the Raiders.
Flynn is a typical NFL backup QB

Plenty of teams play Freshmen QB, A&M, Miami and Clemson come to mind.

Yeah and how is that working our for Miami and Clemson this year (6-5 and 8-3 in the ACC ) and how is that working out A&M this year?

Shouldn't you be a little tired of history repeating itself ?

History at LSU since 2000, sit QB his freshman year and win National title (Mauck and Flynn) or atleast make BCS Bowl (Rohan and JaMarcus) or atleast have an exciting offense vs a repeat of the JJ/JL shitshow. I'll take sit the freshman.

They should've redshirted Harris before Rettig Bolden and Rivers all left. Give harris a year to learn the system and then give him his shot next season.

We scored 10, 13, and 0 points consecutively in games that you deemed our offense to be " improving and doing well". Defense, defense, defense is the only reason LSU looked good for a few games.

I just think Jennings has been so abysmal that we all want to see if Harris can do better. If he stinks it up, he stinks it up. Then, we just go into the bowl game and offseason with an open position and the chance for either guy to win the job next year.

If he plays a great game, you prepare him for the bowl game and start him in it. Either way, you at lest see if the Auburn game was just a terrible night and not indicative of what he can actually do.

Also, the way we've looked at QB this year, wide receiver recruits should absolutely run from LSU if they don't at least see a glimmer of hope from the passing game.

I think LSU will have a good football team in 2015 and that Harris will win the job in the offseason.

That is all

Yes, Jennings was horrible vs Arky, but he put LSU in the position to beat Bama (if we don't freaking kick it out of bounds). The offense was doing well and the team was improving prior to Arky.

I like Jennings. I think he's a top notch leader and person. He showed a lot helping out Harris on the sideline during the auburn game. He's a terrible QB and throwing looks difficult for him, plain and simple.

Harris is a natural thrower. The ball just comes out of his hand with ease like JR, Mett, Roham, Brees, Luck, Rodgers, etc.

That isn't something that can be taught at this level.

Because Jennings is not a capable QB. Our offense is shite. If it's going to be shite I at least want to see the other guy get a shot.

That is a 2 way street. If he stinks it up it could "break him" and then we really are back to JJ vs JL (unless a JUCO guy comes in). However, he could play well and that make him, but Harris would have to be really struggling in practice to not overtake AJ after the Arky game.

You do realize that most recruits are very competive ppl and the challenge of coming in and helping turn the offense around is just as appealing as it is a turn off right (especially with Landry and OBJ in the NFL)?

LSU wins regardless of Qb play. Imagine if the more talented guy played

He'd have to literally not show up to not outperform Jennings.

Now that is some serious spin

Because Jennings has led us to 29points in 5 SECW games, for a whopping 5.8ppg. Averaging less than a TD on offense with Jennings at QB vs SECW opponents.

Jennkngs is the worst QB in college football this year. You can't get any worse than that. And most people can see that Harris has the talent and potential to be a really good QB, while Jennings hasn't shown any signs of improving since the Iowa game last year. He's the exact same QB and his ceiling is as low as most QBs floor. No reason to not give Harris at least some PT.
