Grizz vs Bulls

I think this is the year for the Grizz. Gasol has become a more dominant offensive player. And the addition of Jeff Green gives them a legit scoring option at the SF, which is something they haven't had in the past. And think they have more depth.

The Bulls are the 1 team in the East that I can see taking their game to a whole different level if they get it right. The Cavs can get better too, but don't think they can improve as much as the Bulls can. If they get healthy, they will be a great team. Rose is playing better recently. Gasol is having a GREAT year. Butler is an All Star. Noah is still 1 of the most unique players in the NBA and a great 2 way center. Smell has been really good off the bench. Mirotic is a mismatch issue at the stretch 4. Love Aaron Brooks off the bench.

But besides those 2, the other teams that have a legit shot are Golden St, Dallas, San Antonio from the West and Cavs and Hawks from East. None of those would surprise me. But my pick is Grizz vs Bulls.

Cavs vs Mavs

GriZ would be easily the worst championship team in league history. For that reason I'll take 3 or 4 other teams out of the west before them.

When you expecting Howard back? In fantasy, I'm thinking about trying to get him cheap for playoffs since I've got playoffs locked up. Already got Kemba Walker and Paul George for free but Dwight is on somebody's roster.

Yeah, because I'm sure he's gonna come back 40 pounds overweight, 4 inches shorter, and with a new shooting motion. So he probably won't be effective at all

Obviously they aren't favorites but they are being given comparable odds as teams like the Bucks and Nets when their roster is more or less the team that took what was probably Lebron's best team ever to 7.

Maybe Paul George won't make them better at all. But they've been pretty good lately and when you are talking about astronomical odds, you want high variance teams that are hard to predict. Not teams that you know how good they are or will be more or less.

In other words, a gamble that Paul George returns as good or better as he was last year and you win a couple coin flips is a lot better odds than Brooklyn or Milwaukee getting through 3 best of 7 series.

The Pacers and the Heat... Are you serious?

Wade won't be healthy for the entire post season. And when he's played, they are 15-20 this year. They are 23rd in offensive rating and 24th in defensive rating. And just looking at their wins and losses, they have only 7 wins against teams above .500. And are fighting for the 8th seed at the moment and could miss the playoffs.

And the Pacers most likely won't even make the playoffs. If they do, it would be as the 8 seed. They won't win a series vs a top 3 seed in the East. And yea Paul George mighty be back in mid March. So at best he will be available for the final 20 games of the season. And he won't come back in peak form. And I'm a huge Paul George and Pacers fan. And even if Paul George somehow magically returns in peak form, they still are way worse than last season.

And they are given comparable odds to the Bucks and Nets because nobody thinks any of those teams have a chance.
