Yep - ten year rule.

I think Les is at a crossroads. What he's doing ain't working and he needs to decide if he wants to learn new "software" this late in his career.

That letter in the paper from Miles' family made me pause.

The day Brandon Harris transfers is the day the official clock to fire Les Miles starts. If Miles loses Harris, it's no longer "if" LSU fires Miles, it's "when".

So a true freshman transferring is bigger than the program?

He seems sad, frustrated and pretty disconnected. I think the loss of his mom and 10 years at LSU have got him pretty down. He just doesn't seem to be in it this season.

Well, he'll be the reason if the kid leaves. He hyped the kid and made him think he would play.

He did play. And he played VERY poorly in his one start and poorly at other times when he came in.

Come on, man! If Harris can't beat out Jennings in the spring and is that bad, then I don't care if he transfers other than losing some depth. Find a JUCO guy and another incoming QB. next man up...

Yes he did, and Jennings has played poorly in nearly every start.

Yea, I'm not getting the fan rage over his lack of playing time. He needs to play more but other than potential and our current struggles, I don't see it.

I could at least see the JJ/JL teeth gnashing.

If harris leaves Les will no longer be recruiting "the boot". Everything north of Alexandria will be lost. Maybe he can find a whole bunch of Anthony Jennings in Georgia.

I was at the Varsity when RP had his little meltdown. I was there when he tried to drag other players into it, and Dorsey said no.

Yeah, that was "external"

looking for a defense of Miles here is stupid. The man has a varying array of excuses (none of which seem credible by any other available information) about why he wont play a kid over the worst player at that position in college football.

I'm not trying to defend Miles. But, my rational brain tells me that something else is going on. You think Miles simply doesn't realize that Jennings isn't very good...and is so stubborn that he's prefer to lose than admit that he was wrong about Jennings. Yeah. That makes all kinds of sense.

Call it what it is, Miles lying. Why he is lying is up for debate, but the fact remains the same.

I'd wager it isnt an altruistic lie as has been suggested.

Miles isn't lying. He's just not admitting anything. He won't address the issue directly.

And, I don't believe his motives are solely for the benefit of Harris. He believes it us in the program's best interest.

Harris led LSU to 7 pts at Auburn. Jennings played, 0 pts. Jennings had about 4 games this year that he couldn't do better, including NMSU.

nice fan you are

This has nothing to do with my fanhood. Its about Harris wanting to play and maybe he sees that he is better than Jennings. It looks to me like Miles has his mind made up and will stick with Jennings. I would not blame him for leaving at all and it would be Miles fault.......

If he has made his decision to transfer and has made the staff aware of that decision, why would they waste time, effort, and game snaps on him? I don't know if that's true, but it would answer alot of questions about the situation. It's in the best interest of both parties not to have a public battle about it. good point and they are now openly talking about looking at JOCO QBS

This is probably the situation. There has been alot of public talk about JC quarterbacks lately. BH is not going to stick around long with his recruiting status. Wouldn't be surprised to see him at Auburn. Sad thing is he'll probably end up kicking LSU's shite in in the next couple of years.

He just comes off as a little bitch in a lot of his tweets

I think his tweets are the biggest reason that he hasn't seen the field lately. I think Miles is trying to prove to this kid who runs the program no matter how talented he is as a player.

I also feel that Miles admitting that he is looking at Juco QB's is stating emphatically to Harris that if he doesn't straighten up real fast they are going to go in another direction at QB and his days at LSU are numbered.
