The Big 10 has only won 1 NCAAT in the last 25 years

FWIW people with SEC fatigue love to give the SEC fans shite for being top-heavy in basketball in recent years, but it isn't nearly as bad as the haters want you to think it is.

They've won 3 NCAAT in the last 27 years, with three different teams

It's probably also worth noting that with conference realignment, bringing up past results is pretty pointless and really holds no relevance to the present.

Since 2001, they have won 0

While tSEC, Big12, ACC, & Big East all have won titles

Big10 is mediocre at best in all major sports. There's always hockey though!!

Holy crap, did anyone notice the other day, the amount of Dayton fans down in Puerto Rico on ESPN?

ISU filling Hilton, Dayton Flyer home games packed and all in the red-blue sweaters, Marquette, etc..

Until SEC Fan shows similar loyalty to Hoops, smaller second-tier northern and seaboard programs, and smaller schools where Baskets are #1 on the school's athletic totem-pole, are going to be as viable and in some cases(depending of conference quality and depth) an even more attractive draw than SEC Basketball to players and HCs.

Wichita State has it rocking right now..Tulsa Hoops always been a coaching cradle like Miami-Oh is in Football.

So you are saying the ACC was the best football conference last year?

I'm sorry, but what does football have to do with the discussion at hand? Notice the thread title says "basketball"?

Good effort though.

Keep attempting to switch subjects in order to bolster your feeble argument. Still no titles in a decade+ for the big10.....and tSEC "sucks"??

I wasn't hating. I was just stunned they haven't won trophies more considering bc the Big 10 has typically solid in basketball in my lifetime (Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, tOSU, Purdue, Wisco, etc).

There has to be at least 5-10 2nd place finishes in that timeframe for the B1G, which is crazy.

That

football is #1 everywhere but 2-10,000 every night for baseball is an obstacle no other basketball conference has

Depends if you value depth or just the top teams in a conference

Nice deflection. You know where I was going with that and realized it ruined your ridiculous point.

Because there is a huge element of luck to winning the NCAA title in basketball. You have to win 6 straight games. One off night and you're done.

The North has more densely confined urban areas where it's easier to play basketball. Chicago, NY, Baltimore/DC, Philly, Boston, etc.
