Rev Jesse Jackson just said we should make excuses for the looting and rioting

On CNN, the black reporter(Don something) and Jackson were stroking each other's moral compasses about how mistreated blacks are...then the reporter sort of switched gears and talked about the violence going on and mentioned how the Brown family wanted peace and asked Jackson "how can you make excuses for that?" Jackson replied "well you should make excuses for it, I tell you what the jury concluded that the killing of Michael Brown was justified, that's a lot to swallow...the jury also said the killing of Trayvon Martin was justified and that's a lot to swallow...people are not going to digest it"
Then Don comes back and is clearly flustered and starts stuttering and stammering "Rev I don't want people to get the idea, and listen I don't want to speak for you, that you're making excuses for the bad doers...what do you want to leave for people?"
lol, a guy makes that sort of statement and you as a news reporter paves a road for him to backtrack instead of going on the attack...

The only truth he's ever spoken.

was that the guy on CNN last night that tried to walk directly into the middle of the police formation like he was hoping to get pushed or hit?
he looked disappointed when all they did was tell him he cant be here and asked him to get on the sidewalk, lol.

I am cracking up reading the yahoo photo descriptions. "People leave a liquor store with items". Call it what it is. Looting.

Too dangerous for the esteemed reverend. It's much safer to watch from the CNN news room.

Evidently Jackson has a very low opinion of black people and their cognitive functions

Playing devils advocate.
Maybe the reporter gave him the chance to fix what he said because he knew so many people listen to Jesse Jackson and wanted to let him rephrase it so people don't think he is telling them to go frick shite up.
I didn't see it. But from your account it sounds like the reporter tried to defuse a potential time bomb

I would probably agree with you, but apparently CNN has been showing a graphic depicting Brown on his knees with his hands up being executed by Wilson...doesn't seem like defusing situations their top priority

Stealing whiskey, shoes, tv's, cigs are part of a legit protest of injustice if I am hearing the good reverand right? They are just following Brown's example of stealing whatever he wanted from a store, shoving the owner to the floor, and strutting out without even thinking of paying.

I am pretty sure I would disagree with Don Lemon's politics, but, I got to give him props for holding The Rev's feet to the fire in that interview. Jesse continued to say that justice was served but not the justice they wanted.
