Great idea!!! We can have our pick between Mike Smith, Tom Coughlin (he'll probably retire) & Rex Ryan.

I'll play this game though. Who do you want to bring in? What big name coach do you think would come to new Orleans? You're alright with canning sp and bringing in an unproven commodity? or an unproven coordinator ?

Jesus Christ. This is potentially his first bad year in the last 6. The nfl is a tough business and winning and losing is a razor thin margin. I'm starting to to think Louisiana has the dumbest sports fans in the country.... Or at least the most spoiled.

He becomes a genius again if Jahri plays like an average guard

If you extend it to the last 7 years he's coached, he's 4-3 on being over .500

Between the bounty scandal, lack of defense all but a couple years, and losing his courage, this team is heading the wrong way.

Nothing against him personally, I just think it's time for a change

Wow.

So b/c we hit an absolute home run with Payton, it means we would hit a home run with the next hire?

How long have you followed the Saints?

Logically defend his decision to punt down 17 with 8 minutes left. This is not the same coach who called an onside kick to open the 2nd half in the superbowl

He's always punted the ball there, and I have never agreed with it.

He has a statistical sheet based off the score of the game and the time on the clock.

He's failed us this year no doubt (as have Brees, Ryan, Loomis and most the players), but some emotional knee jerk reaction won't help and will only make things worse. We'll regroup after this season.

Can you read?

You're acting like it is something new he has done

If that is your major complaint with him, we're in good shape. He's widely considered an elite coach for a reason.

I'm saying he keeps doing the same thing and it doesn't work

In a game where you have to score that many points and your defense has already given up 27, in what world does taking your offense off the field give you a better chance of winning?

Seriously, can you not read?

I said I didn't agree with it.

Calling for Sean Payton to get fired is one of the dumbest things ever posted on this entire website. Stick to crayons.

Nice troll OP. The only coach that needs to go after this season is McMahon. I'll give Ryan one more season to put it together. We have too many injuries on that side of the ball to blame just him, but I wonder what happened to our fundamentals this year. We were the best in the league last season with missed tackles, this year I bet we probably lead the league in that category.

His winning percentage is in the middle tier of active NFL coaches
