For those too lazy to click the link...

Just imagine everything in that picture moving...except Harden.

Can't really defend this one for him. But he has been playing excellent defense all season.

Show the gif

Harden was trying to foul to stop the fast break and didn't get the call.

Not really anything wrong with what he did.

People are analyzing his defense every game and this is the best they can come up with...

That was a hell of an attempt to foul to stop the fast break.

He reached across his body but he already passed the ball off right before so he wasn't going to get the call.

How ab showing his block? Or his 3 steals? Is he still #1 in the whole league in defensive win shares? Harden is the Man.

I'm all for covering for your guy, but this is overboard. Stop trying to defend this play. It's awful.

Hardens D > Lebrons D this year.

DRB % - advantage Harden
Steal % - advantage harden
Block % - advantage Harden
Defense win shares - advantage Harden
Defensive plus minus - advantage Harden

You don't know how to play basketball apparently. Somebody is supposed to pick up the ball on a fast break... which is what Harden did. But instead of trying to stop a 3 on 2 fast break, he was going to foul to stop the break from even happening.

Larkin passed the ball right before Harden could foul him and so Harden didn't get the foul call.

This wasn't a bad play. He wasn't just standing there and just letting his defender go by. He was purposely trying to foul. It's the smart play.

You dudes need to learn to laugh a little. He's having a great year. He made a play that appears to be extremely funny. He does this every once in a while.

Except this wasn't one of those plays.
