Dillon was offered as an athlete, and he's expressed a desire to play offense in college. He's ranked as a Top 100 prospect, the No. 9 athlete in the country and a top-five prospect in Louisiana for this year's recruiting cycle.

He's a helluva athlete....saw him last week against Kinder....I can see why Corey Raymond wants him as a DB, the guy can cover some ground!

He'd had a offer as a DB for some time now. We just recently told him we'd be willing to let him play where he wants.

He wants to play on offense so this would at least get us another WR for this year.

Don't tell me that man, I think the only thing that may have scared him is the qb play, and kyle allen is killing it right now as a freshmen. I hope he realizes that are offense was in transition after sending everyone to the NFL. In the mean time I'm just

Where's he gonna go? Clemson? Nah, too far from home. Auburn? Maybe. They don't throw it that much either, and they are selling him on next year with Johnson, like we are with Harris. Tech? Ain't no kid from inner city NOLA going to Lubbock

Us offering Dillon has everything to do with Dillon and nothing to do with anyone else

You never know but they may actually be recruiting this kid to play offense, if we land Donte and taylor with the Dbs we already have high on the board for next year there is no reason he shouldn't be able to play offense

He's being recruited as an athlete. LSU's coaches obviously felt he was too good to pass up

And if he plays DB he's a corner all the way. Taylor and Xavier Lewis are safeties, then Jackson, Toliver and Dillon are the corners. Cutrer is a couple years older so he doesn't really fit with this group, but he will play right away next year at corner

What in the world would entice Johnson to come to LSU at this point?

Well we do have multiple highly drafted WRs that ball out every Sunday...Including 2 from just last year.

I know you'll try to act like that doesn't matter though.

It absolutely matters but the qb situation has never been as bad as it is now. 6 games without 200 yards passing. Just can't see stud wr's beating the door down to come to LSU. Hope i'm wrong.

But, from the moment Mett went down in the Arky game last year, passes were few and far in between. This year, we simply don't have a passing game, and what little we did have has gotten worse during the season. The fact that we are looking at JC QB's is all you need to know- we don't have a QB who can get the ball to our wide receivers on a consistent basis. I would love to have Johnson, but unless he is looking at a couple of years down the line, I think he goes to some pass happy team.
