So was this what the Rodney King riots were like but add in hipsters?

Rodney Kings riots were wayyyyyyyyyy more violent.

53 people killed and 2000ish injured iirc. The Denny beating alone was worse than anything thats happened or will happen as a result of Michael Brown

Also, there was no police presence in south central L.A. at all, zero. LAPD refused to go in there, so it was just anything goes, & it did.

I say a documentary on the LA riots not too long ago and LAPD didn't refuse to go, they were ordered not to.

They were watching the Denny beatings on TV as well and wanted to go but they weren't allowed to. Pretty despicable.

Only bright spot for humanity in that story is that a couple of people that saw the beating happening on TV a couple blocks away went there and drove Denny to the hospital in his truck

If both these bottles are supposed to be filled with piss like the tweet indicates, the guy who peed in the bottle on the left needs to go see a doctor asap

Poor wording on my part & not a slam on the individual LAPD officers at the time. Yes, they were told not to go by the powers that be, not that they didn't want to.

I remember hearing LAPD officers talking about that incident & feeling extremely helpless & pissed. ... And also remember the civilians who came to the aid of Denny. That's the first time I'd ever seen anything like that, live, on tv ... Very surreal.

Is sitting on a fire truck and blasting them with a water hose not legal or fair game?
