They have free bagels and the kitchen opens around 9:00. I don't eat, messes with the buzz.

I'm not a fan of sylvain's sweetbreads. Too complicated. Just give me the glands and butter.

I like them. I agree that sweetbreads can be done better, but I am a fan of their method.

The Grilled Sweetbreads and Braised Oxtails at The Franklin though..

Catching up on this thread, I'm with Arse on this one. That was my old hood and I tried both a few times. Always underwhelmed.

I was a lil fat this weekend myself

Started off with Friday lunch at Peg Leg Poker in Nashville. Smoked beans are mmmmmm mmmmmmm good y'all

After a few pints at the poker I did some bar hopping and worked up an appetite. Was told I needed to try Hot Chicken. Them folks ain't playing around when they say hot y'all. Chips were fried in bacon fat.

Did some drinking early Saturday and ended up real hungry by the afternoon. Destroyed some wings, quesadillas, and Laredo rolls (pulled pork egg rolls). The destruction after the storm.

After a power nap it was time for more beer and white guys on ice.

After hockey I bounced around from one Honkey Tonk to the next in search of my next meal. Found a fried bologna sandwich at a little dive Honkey Tonk. Everything is white at these place even the bread.

Sunday I just sat around watching football and pounded TN beers

Flew back home Monday morning and had to get my culture fix. Arguably the best shrimp po boy in town.

After my fix I went to a world class beer bar to start pre gaming

After some nerd beers I needed to cleanse my palate with a lil pappy

Once my palate was clean it was time for more food. Some of the finest oysters I've had this season. And always Abita Amber

Then it was game time and I don't want to talk about that.

Chiba uses quality ingredients but the sushi is always very underwhelming for some reason. They have great gyoza though. Haven't been to Ninja in years.

Sure. I'll even sign out the tough words.

I'm trying to get over there before the year's end.
