Ask Coughlin, Cowboys 31 Giants 28

(Not that I'm totally happy with anything less than 15-0, but your reasoning rarely mirrors reality)

well that does make a point

while we are at it

Mett, OBJ, Juice, and Hill are 1-3

the losers Defenses gave up 31, 39, and 43 points

The winner's defense gave up 13

..... its almost like... you need.. a defense?

The Giants have Mettenberger, Hill and Jarvis to go along with OBJ?

a lineup w/ Mett throwing to ODB, Landry, Lafell and Randle w/ Blue and Hill as TBs. That's a nasty NFL offense. Geaux Tigers!

How could Les have a NFL starting quarterback, two starting NFL wide receivers, and still not have produced a passing attack that finished in the top 40?

Throw in a starting NFL running back...and the offense, featuring four starting NFL players at skill positions, including a few NFL lineman, failed to finish in the top 30 in total offense last season.

For LSU fans, having an offense that finishes in the top 40 is a high flying offense, as we typically finish 70th or worse despite never really having issues in the talent department.

For many other teams in the country that recruit 4 and 5 star players, an offense that ranks in the top 40 would be quite average.

Because we don't throw the ball all over the place that is the only reason. Mett threw the ball less than 300 times, but still had nearly 3100 yards.

Landy had nearly 1200 yards and 10 TDs, Beckham had 1150 yards and 8 TDs. Hill averaged 6.9 ypc and had 1401 yards and 16 TDs. All those guys made an extremely explosive offense. We were 7th in the country in yards per play. I don't understand why wall don't get that.

The only reason we weren't higher was because we didn't run as many plays as most others do.

im not looking up numbers , but anyone who watched lsu last year knows the youth of our defense was the problem , I would be thrilled if the offense put up those numbers next season .....

Sorry a top 20 defense isn't good enough for Les.

giving up 44 and 38 points in loses, as well as a game winning field goal drive, isn't good enough.

Isn't that all we care about? Loses?

Because the one year we actually had a good offense, our defense stunk. Maybe one year we'll have a good team on both sides but maybe that's asking too much.

pretty sure that Ole Miss didn't have a NFL cornerback. Much less 2 to cover Landry as well. But you would need a NFL QB and we had...,er..well he didn't have quality Runn .... How the frick did he lose to Ole Miss?

The giants have a whole team of NFL starters including a qb that has won two Superbowls.

The ranking is relative to the style and the fact we play in the toughest division in college football. How many of those teams ranked ahead of us won a title last year? Oh yeah only one. Who just so happened to have the Heisman winner and a better defense.

We could have easily scored 80 pts on teams like UAB. But Jennings played the majority of the 2nd half.

Good one. Your attempt to be witty or funny failed miserably.

That may be a reason but not the ONLY reason nor is it the MAIN reason

Anyone who defends CC or CLM (whichever one runs the offense) is an idiot. 4 skill players starting in the NFL as rookies and we couldn't manage to have a better ranked offense last year? Last year is the best we can do with this horrible offense.

OBj became the 3rd rookie ever with 10 catches and 2 TDs last night.

Exactly! Considering that our QB last year spent 6 out of the last 12 months recovering from an injury I am guessing he didn't have much time to get "coached up" before this year either.
