The defense gives the offense the chance to win those games is what I'm getting at.
Which was my point.
A 4th quarter comeback is going to rely heavily on defensive stops, which is why the Saints have struggled there.

And as I mentioned up above LSU should win those type of games because of their talent, but if they had taken care of business throughout the game in the first place they would be no need for a close game or a 4th quarter come back.
I honestly hate that argument. It is constantly said by good teams in college and the NFL. We play in the SEC against great competition.

This year it is, yeah. Because the Miss States, Ole Misses and Arkys have caught up talent wise. The SEC west is a bitch! But before then only Bama and LSU were head and shoulders above all.
And the Saints D has been bad, yeah, but the offense has been spotty also all year. They miss Sproles has I said earlier in the season. But let's not turn this into Saints talk.

Why is it all or nothing? Why can't people be critical and know things need to improve while not wanting to fire the staff?
I never said anything about firing anyone. Literally not once have I even used the word "fired". The ideal route is Les changes and adapts. I hope it happens but I am not optimistic. Again, never said fire him once. Find the post if I did please.

If Les would just shut tha frick up and give Cameron free reign on offense. I'm good with that, but I do not believe Cameron has full reign like some people are sayin on here. If the offense continues to suck well then I really know who should be fired.

Dude I apologize, I'm not really like that. Good talkin to you all. Good nite!

that article didn't tell me anything new

This is a long read...but the first couple pages, where it talks about philosophy, are very interesting. Are we SURE this is Les' doing?
He was criticized a lot for not running the ball enough...
He didn't get along/agree with their franchise QB in the end. That will get an OC fired in the NFL

It talks about how he ran it too much. Was too conservative. Would change things up right before the game when they had talked about airing it out to a more run heavy package.
Cas4t, sorry...not real sure that I was looking for you to have a revelation about Cam. It was a response about everyone saying this was Les' offense and philosophy, which in actuality was one of the issues Cam had at the Ravens.
Oh, that and I hadn't read this before, as I would suspect many have not. Interesting for me, at least.

What are you confused about?
He was widely criticized for not giving the ball to Rice enough. It was everywhere at the time
LINK
He had a falling out with Flacco b/c he wasn't comfortable giving him full control with no huddle. Flacco didn't want Cameron as his OC though.

One of the criticisms of Cam Cameron -- not getting the ball enough to star RB Ray Rice.

I wasn't trying to be a dick. Just saying most of that was fairly well known. Cam and Flacco had bad blood towards the end, too.

I'm not sure where this mindset that a good coach can't be fired from a previous job. Pete Carroll was fired by both the Jets & Patriots. Bill Belicheck was fired by the Browns.
Paul Brown refused to give Bill Walsh a positive recommendation to teams that called him with questions as to whether Walsh was head coaching material. Brown would tell GM's that he felt Walsh was too soft to be a head coach & that his coaching philosophies were absurd. Just because coaches have differing opinions, doesn't mean one is wrong or right. Just because a philosophy doesn't work one place or doesn't mesh with other coaches or players, doesn't mean that philosophy is flawed.
This doesn't justify the lack of creativity from Cam Cameron this season though. He should have been finding more creative ways to get the ball into some of the better athletes hands this season. What I am saying though, is that just because Cam was fired with Baltimore doesn't mean it was a bad hire for LSU. In two seasons, he's had one pretty good season that was filled with upperclassman at the skill positions & a subpar season that is filled with underclassmen at the skill positions. It's entirely too early to judge what influence Cameron or lack thereof, he has had at LSU. Everyone will be able to give a logical assessment once this current group of players are upperclassman.

Yeah. I understand he wasn't giving it to Rice. I also know he was widely criticized for being far too conservative by flacco, harbaugh, bisciotti, the media, etc. Just saying he was a record of playing not to lose, something people say Miles is responsible for, which I also understand has been for more than the past two years.

Literally at no time have I ever said that. Never. Not once. I hate NFL football. I only watch players on my fantasy team to see who was scoring. I don't keep up with it. Coaches, etc. I just don't care. I hadn't read the article before that was from the book from that season for the Ravens. Had a lot of points that sounded eerily similar to this year, for me anyway.
You will find zero posts on this board from me criticizing any of our coaches or players.

My post wasn't aimed at you but just at the mindset of some on here lately. I wasn't trying to call you out, I was just piggybacking your post to make a point.

I have no doubts that LSU's offense will look much better next year. LSU is loaded with young talent, and Harris will likely win the job in the offseason.

I hope you are not serious. We got our teeth kicked in by Bama, laid an egg against Ole Miss, and the defense was pathetic against UGA.
Even if we would have won all those games, we still would not have been national champions because AJ would have been the QB.
He was 7/19, 82 yards against Iowa. I do not see him doing much better against FSU.
