Had a bad arse hunt this morning in the nasty weather that was moving through. Rained straight down most of the morning, wind whipping all over the place, but the birds were flying and they were fun to work. Love mornings like this.

Love weather like today. It sucks getting up to go out in it, but the hunts usuallt yield good results.

That is a great bunch of birds. When I shoot I snatch all my shot shells and haul them off. That's just me.

Central La, public land. For some reason we were the only ones there but I'm not complaining. And my empties are still there just like all the other ones ever shot in that lake.

Posting the same pics to TD and FB will cost your anonymity.

No it was open. Just a lot of sunshine duck dynasty hunters from where I'm from. I work in the rain, I'm damn sure not scared to hunt in it.

And what's so wrong with leaving your shells in the water? I've got to hear this.

It's littering, lazy, and trashy. LA has enough of those three things. Break the cycle.

It's littering? I'm pretty sure it will take hundreds if not thousands of years for those things to decompose

I guess so, but I've been around some hunters in their 70s now who we're around in the glory days of duck hunting, and learned a lot from them. But in all my experience I've never once seen someone pick up their shells, or have I been asked to pick them up.

There's hundreds, maybe thousands of blinds on catahoula lake and I doubt a single person on it has picked up their shells after a hunt in it and it hasn't hurt anything there.
