It is a recruiting issue, but not because of lack of available talent. The problem is Miles' strange fixation with recruiting dual threat QBs to run a pro-style offense.
Oh yeah i forgot all the 5 star pro style QBs coming out of Louisiana that we passed on for 3 star Stephen Rivers.

He want's a mobile QB but I think he's going after the wrong QB's. Harris may end up being that guy, don't know. He has the arm for sure. The offense we run, another statue that could put the ball on the money would work better than what we have.

Beefence - I think we could agree that there is no way anyone is getting fired this year. The problem is that this likely means that there is not going to be any significant change next year in our offense. The idea that we will have to put up with 2 more years of what we saw this year, is what frustrates people to the point of calling for change.
After yesterday's games we are 12th in Total D, but 110th in Passing O. Someone is not doing a good job and someone is not. Can we not expect that the people not getting it done would have to do a root cause and corrective action review at the end of the year?

It's time to let Harris sink or swim in the next 2 games, and run most all of the offensive plays from the shotgun. It makes too much sense not to, but Les Miles is a narrow minded egotistical HC who doesn't want to look like he made a mistake. Miles also seems to have a great disdain for the fan base with his garbled unintelligible bullshite responses. So don't look for common sense to happen.
All of this.

you left out a little side note:
that Manziel and Prescott both talked to LSU, but LSU did not want them as QBs.
You can add RGIII to this list as well. However, those guys would have been shells of what they are if they had chosen LSU.

Cam was fired after week 14. The Ravens record was 9-4. After he was fired they went 1-2 the rest of the regular season and won 4 straight post-season.
so you uncovered an outright lie that was used to "prove" another posters point. no surprise.

This is complete bull shite. An analyst that isn't an lsu pumper mike detillier confirmed they did the other day.

If you were disappointed with last year's offense then you definitely have a problem or an agenda to shite on lsu. 3000 yard passer, 1000 yard rusher and two- one thousand yard receivers. "Middle of the pack" because we don't throw every down. That ranking is bull shite. Intelligent people know this.
In 2013, LSU was 23rd in scoring offense. Behind A&M, UGA, Bama, Missouri, Auburn.
35th in yards/game. Behind A&M, Auburn, UGA, Missouri, Ole Miss.
45th in PASSING offense. Behind A&M, ole miss, SC, Missouri.
With some of the best offensive talent ever assembled at LSU, the offense was middle of the pack in thd SEC. Not that impressive considering the talent.

2012 was a complete waste of a war due to the offense. No reason Mett wasn't ready to produce. He was not a freshman right out of high school.

LSU offered Prescott very late after he was already committed. No way was he coming here and I'm not sure he would have even played ahead of AJ

That's still very different than not offering him

Would love to see this. At least we would know for sure what we have, if nothing else.

You people are pathetic! I guess you are a genius at your job with no faults. Oh wait.. Most of you probably don't.

It's the constant "less milez is a retard!!! Arghh nevillez coach is better!!" Type of bull shite that isn't at all productive.
you keep talking about being productive. This is a message board, and it's called the RANT. Messageboards aren't here to be productive. The exact opposite, actually. And this is the one place where people CAN bring criticism.

He was offered but it basically was a formality at the time. As I said earlier, I doubt he would ever have started ahead of AJ even if he came here.

I want harris to start, because i think he has to give us a better chance to win.
I still don't think the next two games are going to tell us exactly what we have with Harris. i still expect a ton of growth from him next season.

I think we'll know if he can play at this level and be the guy, or not.

They've had quite a few defections as well. I think the desire to stick with Driskel really hurt Muschamp.
This is key. Miles' desire unexplained to stick with Jennings only is not clear at all because everyone knows if the team falls behind by double-digits, there is a high probability that Jennings will not be able to pass us back into the game.
I still contend the only way forward with 2 young QBs is to play both which balances out the pressure both see from game to game until one clearly outperforms the other. I believe it also causes them to be involved in the game more which could increase the development of both QBs.
