quote:

"A guy had a silver spoon in his mouth all his life, Ohio State, primadonna state quarterback talking about, 'It's an embarrassment,'" Speir said. "He ain't ever coached."

quote:

"Coach (Nick) Saban had a lot of great things before and after the game about FCS playing the big boys," Speir said. "Alabama needed this game. Like I said, whether they win or lose, Alabama, I think those fans had a good time today.

"I'm just proud of FCS football, I'm proud of our football team, I hope America doesn't listen to a guy who sits behind a mike that hasn't ever done it, with that silver spoon in his mouth, he never had probably a bloody nose or a callous like some of these guys."

quote:

"(You've got a) governor who, until the employment rate went down, he ain't takin' a paycheck," Speir said. "I wish some of those guys behind a (microphone) would work for a living too instead of putting their opinions out there.

"But I love your governor here. I love this program here and I'll give you a Roll Tide."

I agree that these games aren't good for the fbs powers, especially late in the season, but they certainly are important to the fcs programs because of the money and Kirk was off base this morning.

The money grab for both FCS and FBS teams has cheapened and watered down the college football product. That's a fact.

Did Kirk say they shouldn't play an FCS team or that they shouldn't be paying one this late?

That coach sounds like a teenage girl

FBS teams have played shitty teams from the FCS since the beginning of time. That's a fact.

in a free market, anytime you exchange some good, service, or currency for a good, service, or currency, you're subsidizing that individual with their benefit of the exchange. parties engaging in this freely is capitalist. a state redistributing subsidies via government act is socialism.

In regards to out of conference scheduling? Yes, that is a free market.

Neither team was forced to schedule the game by a governing entity to fund WCU athletics at the expense of the university of Alabama. Quit while you're behind
