IWhen I lived in Sacramento, I worked as a prison guard at Folsom State Prison for three years.

In those three years I saw lots of blood spilled over the use of racial slurs.

Prison politics doesn't allow for double standards and racial slurs involving any race is considered a serious breach of respect.

My last month on the job, we found a young black inmate in the yard with a piece of weight equipment shoved up his rectum for his injudicial use of the phrase "white boy".

Hey look at the miserable people failing spectacularly in every measurable way. It's like talking about boogers. I'm just not likely to really care much about entertaining that conversation.

Edit-I watched part of an episode of Good Times with a black couple TODAY and I'm the 12, 347th whitest man in America. A Funny conversation it was.

I remember reading that when National Lampoon made Animal
House, the studio was concerned about it's racial scenes and wanted them to remove them from the movie. They were afraid it would be called racist and offensive. So, they invited Richard Pryor to a private screening to get his take. He told them it was hilarious, they were too sensitive and to get over it.

It seems like today, we may be able to make fun of ourselves, but are intolerant of anyone else doing so. And we've become SO PC, ridiculously so. A classic comedy like Animal House could never be made today.

Here's another explanation:

It's a double standard, but it's also ridiculous to equate cracker and the n word.

Also, if I could avoid hearing the idiotic "they can say it to each other but I can't say it" argument, that'd be great. We know it is hypocritical.

No it isn't. People say those words with the intention of insulting the person. That's all that matters.

When black people call you a cracker , they are saying it with the intention of being as insulting as the word "n*****" is to them.

Speaking of racist protesters, a few New Black Panther members were busted doing straw purchases of firearms and attempting to get pipe bombs which they planned to set off during the protest.

LINK

I have a feeling they were trying to run a false flag, to try and make this a Kent State situation, rather than bombing the cops.

Prime Time Money makes a good point, imo. It isn't just a matter of whether someone is offended by these terms. The intent of the person uttering racial slurs needs to be considered, too.

Imo, racism is racism. Hatred is hatred. That component of the equation is present regardless of whether anybody is offended by the actual words.

Its ridiculous for anyone to give so much power to a word. No matter which word we're talking about. I have buttons that can be pushed but only by someone who knows me.

Whites are better at defusing racial slurs directed at them then other races

Whites are less sensitive to racial slurs than other races

Whites don't take seriously the people who make racial slurs directed at them

wrong FF. i imagine they would set off the bombs and try to link it to white people or a racist organization

like that black chick in north LA a few years ago who wrote up her car and set herself on fire to make it look like white people did it

Not necessarily. Whites can be very sensitive to ethnic slurs, but the thing is, unlike African Americans, there is no white "solidarity". Whites don't stick up for one-another. Whites have always been divided among ethnic lines. The Irish hate the Scots hate the British hate the French hate the Germans hate the Poles hate the Russians hate the Slavs hate the Greeks hate the Italians hate the Spanish, ect and everyone hates the Jews.

Italians stick up for other Italians, but don't care about other nationalities. The same is true for all other "white" groups.

However, call an Italian a wap or dego, and you may see the fists start flying.

The same is true for calling a Polish person a Polack, an Irish person a Mick, a Jewish person a kyte, ect.

Whites don't really take offense to being called generic "white" racial slurs like "honky", "whitebread", or "cracker", but they take insults to their nationality to heart.
