Cameron had 4 NFL starters at skill positions in 2013, yet he couldn't field a top 40 passing game, nor could he field a top 30 offense.

I think it's quite ridiculous that our offense coordinator requires 4 NFL starters at skill positions just to produce an offense that's barely in the top 1/3 in the country.

Those rankings are all relative to the level of competition. Also in Miles philosophy we run the ball and don't run up the score. We also play one of the tougher schedules year in and year out. Play UF and Bama every year that are usually up there with the best defenses in the country every year.

Those numbers could have easily been better in say the big 12.or if we just put up 70-80pts on the cupcakes when we could have. Just chose not to.

Some of these teams have to score 58 pts to win games. That is just ridiculous. I hope LSU is never in that boat. Oh but we have a top #10 offense guys because we have no defense.

shite tamu will have better offensive rankings every year, but lose 59-0. What good does that do?

Fantastic post! Couldn't said it better myself. LSU has been irrelevant in baseball/basketball since 2009. Football had 1 great season in 2011 only to tarnish it with the worst performance ever.

2014 SEC Football Media Guide

Scroll down to Alabama's YEAR-BY-YEAR RECORDS and look at their SEC Finish for 2013.

Are we going by conference rules or JaxTiger10 rules?

Ill just post about one game and you guys can draw your own conclusions.

2013 vs UAB.

Mett didnt take one snap in the 4th quarter. It was all jennings. We threw 1 pass.

So let us say we keep mett in and just go for it, well that could move us up in the rankings. I dont think i have to explain any further.

edit: Over looked this. Jennings came in with 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Mett didnt even play 2 1/2 quarters against UAB. So again, we could have padded the stats like other teams do and chose not to.

Find me some ELITE overall programs then. The criteria is football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball. Keep in mind Sweet 16s and CWS appearances are mediocre per the OP.

they wont, because they suck and sumlin is not a better coach than Miles no matter how much people want to claim he is.

If that does happen, I will eat crow and I will be the first in line to put my money where my mouth is and help buy Miles out.

Sorry, but college athletics is not something like a corporation where stockholders have a legitimate gripe if the business does not succeed. If you think that you're being "forced to pay a premium" to watch LSU sports, then change the channel, sir. You are no more "forced" to follow LSU than you are "forced" to choose what restaurant you want to eat at.

If you happiness in life so much depends on whether LSU is superior at all times in all sports, then you have a miserable life.

The conclusion it seems you expect us to draw is that Lsu is the only team that puts backups in during blowouts.

I dont really know the answer to that question. But i guess one game i recall recently that i brought up was the Bama Tamu game this year. Bama was throwing bombs when they were up 45-0 with both coker and simms. So i guess maybe some teams do run up the score? While we attempt 2 passes in the last 26 minutes of the game.

or when is the last time you saw a team mercy kneel with 5 minutes left? you dont. Miles refuses to run up the score when we can.

Allen did play in tamus blow out to rice, but oh look throwing 33 yd td passes up 59-3. Running up the score.

All I am saying is people are using rankings and saying oh we sucked offensively. you guys know that wasnt the problem last year. And yes we did this same thing with Jamarcus. hell i wish we would have left him in longer in the blow outs, could have gotten him to NY.

You're also not "forced" to buy shares in a corporation, but if you do, you have a legitimate gripe if management is hurting the corporation's performance.

What a stupid statement. My happiness in life doesn't depend on my steak being cooked properly when I'm at a restaurant. I'm still going to complain if they overcook it, though. And "superior at all times in all sports"? What a joke. At this point, we'd be happy with just being above average in ANY major sport.

Now, someone whose happiness depends on every other person being absolutely tickled silly with mediocrity in their favorite football program, and who gets upset when people complain about the 2nd-4th most talented team in a 14-team conference being unable to finish above .500 in conference play? That's a miserable person.

You know that means? Alabama fans won't be using the inexperience excuse for Coker next year because he is getting meaningful reps in live game action and getting the chance to work on things.

They were up 45-0 at halftime. Are they supposed to just not try the entire second half because A&M was godawful?

Just because miles refuses start preparing his younger players to see meaningful playing time next season when the guys ahead of them graduate/leave early doesn't mean the rest of the teams in cfb do or should. But at least he allows the pumpers to keep using the inexperience excuse every year.

Mett was subbed out with 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter in my example. Coker came in with 5 minutes left in the 3rd. how is that different?

Coker has played in 4 games this year. Harris has played in 8. Coker also is a transfer that played in 6 games the year before for FSU.

Harris has attempted 4 more passes than coker, has double the yards and double the tds.

anything else?
