Has anyone else had a HORRIBLE experience with Asurion phone insurance?

I was just told that my claim has been denied and they are NOT ALLOWED to tell me why. Well that takes care of any of my pesky attempts to resolve the issue, doesn't it??

Yeah, they pretty much blow. I had my Android for less than a month and it quit working. Assholes sent me a fricking refurb and I still had to pay $50 for it. Jackholes

When my Galaxy went swimming I filed a claim and had the new one a few days later. Yeah I'll have to pay a deductible, but that's insurance for you.

I'm not sure if this applies to you, but I think you can only file 2 claims within a year.

Yeah I have never had a problem. Always got the phone the next day. You are only allowed 2 per year so I am not sure if the OP had already done it multiple times.

I don't recall how often I switch phones - I never switch when a new model comes out so maybe 6-12 months after the newness wears out. I keep the insurance for about 2 years and then cancel - I think its about $10/month. I have never had to use it and have only added this coverage on my last two phones.

i bought a few Nokia 2520's for the shop. one of my employees dropped one the first day and it killed it. i had taken out insurance so i thought no problem.

Asurion said they'd send me an equal tablet for $200.
i asked if what they were sending had windows (needed for our software)
they said no, android but it's still a 10" tablet. the next one was a windows tablet but it was a 7" dell with no wireless connectivity- $200

long story short- 6 months later and a lot of phone calls and they finally replaced it with a nokia 2520.

frick Asurion and frick at&t for selling the policy.

I started the process Monday and just said screw it. I don't want the new iphone 6 and would rather a 5s again but dealing with asurion is much worse IMO

They should tell you why...I mean you pay for the insurance the least they could do is tell you why you aren't covered. Did you ask for a manager?

I've never had an issue with them. I've used them twice this year. Once my phone was stolen and once it stopped charging.
