Why does anyone really care?
There are two possibilities, unless I am wrong.
Possibility one, they do not charge him. In this case, they riot and loot and blame it on the outcome.
Possibility two, they do charge him. In this case, they riot and loot and say that it was a celebration that got out of hand and it happened because it took so long to get justice.
Now if we get a riot due to reason two, we get a bonus riot and looting later after the actual trial. And the reason given for the rioting and looting would be much the same for the above two reasons.
At the end of the day, there is going to be at least one riot with the possibility of an additional bonus riot.
The only thing that can be done about this thing is to drag it out so long everyone gets so tired of it no one cares. This is what they did with the zimmerman thing. And that is what they are trying to do here. The problem is they just didn't seem to drag their heels long enough as they did in the zimmerman case.

Was Zimmerman's GJ deliberations drawn out for this long?

Still no word?
Just getting to checking in on the news.. Been a busy day.
Looks like the prosecutor is preparing to give a new conference, I'd imagine tonight. Going to give an update on the status of releasing the decision. I would imagine he has a decision if he is going to hold a press conference. He is supposed to give a 48hr lead time on actual release, which I would imagine this will be.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office said it was preparing for a news conference, the first time it has disclosed such plans, but added that it had no date or time for the decision announcement. Officials have said a decision is expected before the end of the month.
The nearby Jennings School District said it would close on Monday and Tuesday due to the possibility of unrest in neighboring Ferguson. The district was already scheduled to be closed the rest of the week for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday.
Schools have been shut down for the beginning of next week in anticipation.

Zimmerman's case didn't go to the GJ but, instead, a special prosecutor in Florida charged him.
IIRC, they overcharged him by pushing for 2nd degree murder instead of manslaughter, which is why he won in court.
