Lets try this again... GJ is meeting this morning per the DA. Multiple sources saying decision will come after that meeting and DA will give 48hr lead time on announcement.

ETA:

Ferguson, Missouri (CNN) -- The grand jury hearing evidence on the Michael Brown shooting is preparing to meet Friday for what might be its final session, and a decision on whether to charge Officer Darren Wilson could come the same day, law enforcement officials briefed on the plans said.

St. Louis County prosecutors are preparing to present more evidence to the grand jury before starting deliberations, and a decision on an indictment is expected soon after, the law enforcement officials said.

If a decision comes Friday, prosecutors are expected to provide law enforcement with 48 hours notice before making a public announcement, possibly on Sunday.

The current plans could still change and prosecutors could shift the planned grand jury session, the officials said.

Prosecutor Robert McCulloch has said he plans to make public all evidence and testimony presented to the grand jury, but there is growing concern from some on how to deal with the identities of people who have testified, the sources say.

Concerns have also been raised that some witnesses could be put at risk once their testimony and identities become public, law enforcement officials said.

In some cases, witnesses might have testified differently under oath, providing different accounts than the ones they gave in media interviews, the official explained. Others may have provided testimony that may be interpreted as helpful to the officer's account of the August 9 shooting

Does that mean he will hold off on announcing the decision until Sunday night?

The media wants a riot to happen for ratings.

Yes, he will give law enforcement 48hrs advance notice that he is going to announce the decision, so they can begin mobilizing. Subsequently, the protestors will begin mobilizing at the same time.

giving law enforcement 48hrs would be wise. However, that could lead to pre-announcement violence and arrests.

I would like to be a public defender in Fergusion right now. They are about to get paid.

Who's playing football Sunday night? Could be more action on the streets of Ferguson than on the gridiron.

I'm sure there will be more action in Ferguson.

Besides...you can watch football on TV and the drama on Internet streams.

Obviously hopping for a guilty verdict, but would they still riot if they only give the guy a minimal punishment?

I don't see how it's murder, it is manslaughter or something similar at most, but that would still be to much.

No verdict comes from a grand jury. This isn't a trial, just determining if there will be a trial.

The information provided in the indictment will leak ("accidently - on purpose") prior to Sunday if a notice is given tonight...

Pretty ridiculous that everyone knows what behavior to expect once the verdict is released.

Why? If LE needs 48 hours to get ready, then everyone in Ferguson is totally fricked. They shouldn't need more than 48 minutes.

Plus it won't work. It'll get out after it is done, regardless of announcement.
