MacBook Question

Came across a 17" MBP on a local for sale Facebook page for $600. I already have a 13" MBP. I can't decide whether or not I should even bother with it or take the deal and try to flip it or sell my 13 to roll with the big boy. Both are in great shape and I don't mind the extra weight.
Mine (Late 2011 -13"), 2.4 GHz Intel Core I5, 4GB 1333 MHz (Max 16), and Intel HD 3000 384 MB.
Hers (Mid 2010 - 17"), 2.53 GHz Intel Core I5, 4GB 1067 MHz (max 8), and Intel HD Graphics 288.
Thoughts? Could I flip the 17 for a modest profit?

I think the 17" mid-2010 MBPs had dual GPUs--Intel HD integrated and GeForce 330M discrete. If that's the case with this one, then the screen size, resolution and graphics would be the only thing better about the 17" MBP.
The 2010 MBPs had an Arrandale processor while the 2011 MBPs had a Sandy Bridge processor. So despite your machine having a lower clock speed, it would still outperform the 2010 MBP in CPU operations.
I wouldn't bother tying up $600 tbh.

I don't know about these particular numbers but they stopped making the 17 a few years ago. I know there's a good niche that is enamored of them. Might help their value if you take time to market it.

I just spent $600 getting the logic board replaced on my mid-2009 17" Pro. Worth it for me just to have the bigger screen since they discontinued that size. If it is really in good shape, throw 500 at her and roll with it.

That's alone makes it seem like a good buy even if it just to resell for parts.
