They are too chicken to even BLUFF at using impeachment or the power of the purse.

Why should they threaten to impeach? That's just foolish, and turns most people who are moderate off. Most people are fairly moderate, thus it's a bad idea.

I agree. They have no plan and they are about to get walked all over.
I think they should have gotten secret approval ahead of this, and as soon as it comes out of his mouth they should arrest & charge him.
Regardless of whether charges stick, they should embarrass the frick out of him and show him they are not going to lay down.

I think ironic is the right word.
The poli board was full of statements just like this, basically verbatim, about 8 years ago. Arrest, impeach, criminal, rabble, rabble, rabble.
You could literally copy and paste liberal posts from 2007 to today, and you would never know the difference if you left out the names.

If gowdy and Cruz were the house leaders, none of his shite would get funded and the supremes would bring his arse in line. But they aren't, so in the end we get Obama light. Why he didn't move in his first two years on this is pretty telling. At some point the GOP has to make a stand or we are done.

Nah, he wants to get shite done. He's just idealistic and arrogant, thinking he knows better than everyone else. The result is that even when he has decent ideas (such as this plan) the execution damns him.

And how did you arrive at this conclusion? You put that dude in a town hall where there are no aides and no mouthpieces to speak for him and he'd crumble like a cheap suit trying to defend any one of his "signature" pieces of legislation. I don't think he's quite as radical as most make him out to be, but he is way out of touch and deserves to get burned with the way he's handled his presidency.
