Don't feel like driving to laffy taffy to get one...

Would actually be nice to find a place that offers the full spread

Calvin's is offering fried turkeys with or without the meal. Have to order ahead.

I had one from Popeye's one year and didn't like it at all. Different stores may do it differently, though.

How does this work? The grocery stores fry the turkey and you pick up a fried turkey dinner on the 26th and reheat? That's almost like eating leftover dinner for the initial dinner is it not?

I don't know anything about "Cajun" fried turkeys, just plain old fried turkeys. I've never heard the other term before.

Catman, yes, you probably have to reheat it. Maybe someone else knows of a place at which you can pick up a freshly fried turkey TG morning. I believe when we picked up one from Popeye's they may have fried that morning. You had to bring your turkey to them earlier, though, which was interesting.

This was about 10 years ago. I haven't seen any promotions that they are doing it again.

Never actually had them before, but I hear Benoit's in Addis does a pretty good job. I think they fry them in the lard from their cracklins.

You usually pick it up on Wednesday.

Preheat the oven to about 250, and put it in there for about 30-45 minutes.

We've done this before, never had an issue.

Go to Academy or WalMarks and get you a frying rig. Inject the bird, fry it up, be the hero!
