Where is the best place to buy a refurbished Ipad? Going to get my son one for Christmas, doesn't need to be the new model just one that we can play games on.

I was looking at the ones on best buy that are the first generation. He is 5 so I didn't want to get him a new one just to play some alphabet game. Will the newer apps still run on them or do I have to get a newer model.

i dont think 8.1.1 runs on 1st generation ipads which is going to hurt for games.

If you want to do cheap, why not try android instead? They have ones with really low entry points.

Because everything we use is Apple and it's probaby just easier to keep everything the same.

Why get a brand new version for a bit of a sped up processor and TouchID? Go for the iPad Mini for your son. Refurbished they are like $249 dollars. I'm guessing Ciber Monday will be even lower.

Buy a used one in "great" or "like new" condition on eBay. Just make sure the seller has 100% feedback rating. People are constantly upgrading their Apple stuff and looking to sell the old models. You can find some great deals on eBay.
