Those were just the titles that stuck out to me. You did a great job, any list could be debated of course.
I'm not sold on vr though. I don't see anyone doing that for extended periods of time. I may be wrong.
As amazing as those 3d games are, they did age well

I went ahead and added 1999 for those wanting that year represented, though I swapped out a couple of games I thought better deserved a place.

My goty is South Park right now. It's not a strong year but I don't think that it's any worse than 2012 or 2006 (console generation first year like this )
