Anyone know what is going on at the corner of Highland and Staring? THe Exxon gas station closed up and the pumps have been torn out of the ground. I know for a fact that this gas station was open on Sunday. Plus, the building where the vapor store has been torn down as well. Is there something new going in at this corner?

Nah, they are just tearing down buildings to pass the time and inconvenience drivers

This is surprising to hear.

I picked up Johnnys on Monday and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

based on age of the station, i will be shocked if soil and/or groundwater remediation is not needed at that site

Remodeling the Exxon, will be back up in March. Heard that from a worker there when I stopped in last week. It definitely needed it.

Expanding that Exxon into a full size one. Gonna be really nice when it's all done

I passed about 10 am Monday and they were clearing the shelves and loading everything into a 18 wheeler.

Beer selection was horrible and always kinda cold at best. It's a popular intersection now with the cut through to Burbank, so finally realizing expansion was needed is going to be great for that location IMO.

Doesn't take long to build a gas station. 4 months sounds about right.
