Samsung 60" 1080 hd 3d smart 240hz
I'm not real tech savy when it comes to tvs. It's $700 off regular price.
We are currently building a house that will be done in April. Thought I'd hit up the Black Friday sales for some tvs for the house. I do realize there are ultra hd tvs now, but I think I am satisfied with the regular 1080 hd.

1) is this a good tv/deal for the price?

2)should I wait until April to purchase?

3) I know this is a smart tv, does anyone know if it does wireless phone connection to play YouTube/netflix phone mirroring?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

I think the 7 series is supposed to be a really good tv.

I didn't see any good deals on TV until June or July at the earliest, so you might as well jump on this one.

Check to make sure your phone is compatible with screen mirroring for this TV. That is different than just accessing Youtube or Netflix which are likely already available on the TV without a smartphone. But yes, this tv does have mirroring.

You'll find 50" LEDs for around $300 so I think that's high fur a 60" even if it's sammy.

Skip the 3d and curved gimmicks. 4k is about the only gimmick with any staying power right now.

Eta smart TV apps are mostly meh. Spend $30 and get the amazon stick, roku or Chromecast instead. You'll be much happier.

I'll agree that I've had a much better experience using Roku and my Bluray or PS3 than using the actual TV for streaming media.

You really can't find a good quality tv that doesn't have 3d and smart features already built in, though. 4K is nice but limited in release, for now.

Can't believe I paid $1200 for a 46" LED 5 years ago

Don't pay attention to $xxx off regular price. Many times companies will jack up retail for a sale so that it looks better.

Unless you are independently wealthy, I suggest you be prudent with your finances until you sign the final mortgage papers.

You probably have a construction loan and will need to convert it to a mortgage after the house is finished in April.

The finance company will pull your credit report at that time (in April) and they may find you no longer qualify for the loan.

I know someone to whom this happened. They bought a lot of furniture for their new house between qualifying and final closing and was over-extended at the final closing!

There will be lots of sales in the summer to close out this year's products to get ready for the new models.

Good luck with your new home!

I bought a Sony TVwith the same specs a year and a half ago for the same price. A refurb unit of the same TV you mentioned was avaiable on Amazon for $940 tonight. Looks pretty good to me.

A Samsung TV will only stream stuff from a Samsung phone. You'll need an Apple TV for IOS devices.

Eta. Not a bad price, but I'd pickup the refurb if covered under amazons return policy. Save $300. And I wouldn't buy a Samsung, but that's just my personal experience (over 10 or so years and 4-5 different types of tvs with different issues that I've known about. Others may say different, but again, it's just IMO).

ETA 2: just read you are building a house. If I were you, I would wait until after the purchase. Make sure the TV will be the right size for you room and you will probably be able to get the same or better deal, esp online. In short, DONT BUY NOW
