The fact that we're "hoping" for Nashville or Shreveport says a lot about the state of the program at this time.

Honestly, I love LSU to go bowling, but with this team and this coach, I kind of wish we wouldn't go out and embarrass ourselves any further.

I'm inclined to agree. Watching LSU's offense is about as much fun as having a root canal.

Try a colonoscopy.

We're playing in Texas, Gator, or Liberty. If Arky wins out, Independence becomes possible, but still unlikely.

Beat A&M...Texas Bowl (vs Tex/OU/WV) or Gator Bowl (vs Neb/Michigan/NotreDame)

Lose to A&M....Texas Bowl (vs Tex/OU/WV) or Liberty Bowl (vs Tx/OU/WV)

MusicCity, Belk, and Outback are very unlikely for LSU....Texas, Liberty, Gator are the most likely

I would like to see:

1. LSU vs Texas in Houston, 8pm game on a Monday night, Dec. 29

2. LSU vs Michigan or Nebraska or Notre Dame Jan 2nd in Gator

3. LSU vs Texas in Liberty, Dec 29

I'd prefer Memphis because it's close and I think more LSU fans will travel to that one.

If we win, 8-4 isn't terrible.

Alabama
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Georgia
Missouri

Those are the only teams that will for sure be selected in front of us. Auburn will have 4 losses, too.

Alabama to the playoff. State and Ole Miss to major bowls, such as Peach, Orange, or Cotton. Citrus would probably take Georgia (SECCG loser). Missouri to the Outback Bowl.

So basically, Gator Bowl, Music City Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Texas Bowl are after that.

Music City Bowl gets first selection out of these, I'm pretty sure. So Auburn there?

I hope we don't end up in Jacksonville. :/

Selection Order:

1. CFB playoff + 4 major bowls (Sugar/Rose + Orange/Cotton/Fiesta/Peach) ... Likely 3 SEC teams, possibly 4

2. Citrus (former Cap1) ... 1 SEC team

3 "group of 6" (Texas,Liberty, MusicCity,Belk,Outback,Gator) ... 6 SEC teams, No order selection, all determined by SEC office based on proximity and matchups

4. Independence, Birmingham (if any SEC team(s) still available)

Give me a dome and a packed house and a primetime kickoff with 25k+ LSU fans in attendance... I want Texas Bowl vs Texas

Gator vs NotreDame or Nebraska would be okay too, but Texas Bowl is what I want.

Unfortunately, we would travel very very poorly to Charlotte or Nashville or Tampa, which is why those possibilities appear unlikely. LSU will likely be putting Gator and Texas in our preferred rankings sent to the SEC

Since the SEC gets to pick the bowl pairing, we'll probably end up going to a bowl game in a boring city.

Personally I would love to go to Memphis or Nashville for a bowlgame. It's nice not caring about the size of the bowl game and being more focused on fan experience.

Anywhere but Florida or Texas.

Can't comment on this never been to SC

Because of there differences I lived in New Orleans and BR (New Orleans is my hometown)

Would never go to either unless I had to

It is all about your personal preference. I did research at Vanderbilt one summer and Nashville does not have much to offer beside live music (country). Memphis on the other hand is the blues capital which is more appealing to me. Memphis as a city has a great history (Not saying Nashville is not). Country maybe your cup of tea, but it is not mine. What people don't understand about an opinion is that when some one gives their's that person is not stating that their opinion is accepted as world renown fact, but rather that it is their personal belief. With that being said I still believe Memphis is better than Nashville.

ETA: Don't even get me started on the BBQ in Nashville vs. Memphis

I guess with your ties to Nashville you do not think no one in their right mind would think Memphis is better than Nashville?

Nashville may be better to raise a family, but for fun Memphis is where it is at between the two.
