I like them. Will force toyota to update the Tacoma, which is about 3 years late

Is that where the spare mounts? What's th use of having a truck with a usable 2" bed? Some truck company need to be innovative/retro with the spare mount and put it on the front bumper, the hood or the side of the bed.

This.

The Tacoma is the dominator in the mid sized truck market since GM dropped the Colorado/Canyon and Ford dropped the Ranger. The Nissan Frontier is also in this class but is way behind the Tacoma in sales.

I like seeing the reintroduction of this truck combination. Competition forces companies to revamp their products.

Hope they make a bare-bones version. I'd love to get rid of this car.

Less power and less towing capacity than the Ram 3.0 with the same MPG. They are starting to offer the Ram 3.0 in lower trim levels. Only chance the Colorado has is to keep the price low.

If jeep would stop screwing around and put a diesel that isn't crap in a wrangler, I'd be so happy.

Good looking truck! Wouldn't drive a chevy but since they're releasing this little sucker everyone else will counter with their own version. I like it!

Would it be safe to say if released it would be a "game" or "market" changer?

I don't think so. But that really depends on how the public reacts to it.

Somebody at my work has a brown 4 door one. It is very nice looking. It almost looks bigger than the original Colorados.

Hopefully it is enough of a MPG and price difference to justify getting the smaller truck.

Every Colorado I've been in (I admit they were all rentals) had the crappiest ride and terrible interior. If they updated that to be really quality (possible a legit LTZ level interior and ride quality), I'd buy one. I don't have anything to tow right now and don't need a full size truck. Those MPG's with a 30 mile commute are very attractive.

No, it mounts under the bed like the rest.
The only time I have seen people put them there, is when they get bigger wheels/tires and get a matching spare that wont fit under the truck.

ETA: IWDI.

No, because some people are highly uncomfortable paying $35k for a midsize truck
