Update.

There were some notable omissions and criticisms I'd like to address. Please update the thread with this...

Marc Brownstein: Very low post count and appears to be a Spaulding Smails alter. Known alters will remain unranked or be automatically delegated to Tier 5...with the exception of monsterballads who has Tier 1 contributions but will not eclipse Tier 3 because of alter suspicion. Marc Brownstein will remain unranked.

MiNd DrIpS: Good threads but under 1,000 posts and has not posted in 2 years. Possibly a current music board regular's alter but can't confirm. Tier 3.

macintosh504: Tier 5 and no further consideration will be given.

Jones: Contributes in-depth electronic music knowledge. Imparting meaningful knowledge of music, regardless of popularity of genre, is considered a high tier contribution (i.e. Kafka is Tier 1). His role as board villian sparks posts and board activity but is not on KevinGates tier 2 level. Tier 3.

BuccWildBammer: High level rap/hip hop knowledge, alerts the board when new music is out and where to find it, and a respected poster. Tier 2.

link: Accepted lurker with a few attempts at meaningful threads. Has come on strong lately, but low scores in the reputation and influence categories have weighed down his computer ranking tremendously. Not ready for the big time. Very low Tier 3.

LSU Tiger09: Unknown poster that tries too hard to copy higher tiered posters' insults and vernacular. Tier 5.

Melvin wants a higher ranking - Melvin feels his contributions while other Tier 1 posters were banned should warrant him a higher ranking. The fact that the music board felt such a drop off without these Tier 1 posters, with Melvin's contributions doing nothing more than to keep the board at an even keel at best without elevating it further, is proof enough the current rankings are valid.

StickyFingaz wants a higher ranking - At the recommendation of his peers and with a closer review of his post history, StickyFingaz has been moved from Tier 5 to Tier 4.

CheeseburgerEddie wants a higher ranking - No.

Official Music Board Tiered Poster Power Rankings

A few well-known Tigerdroppings community members, in conjunction with a few lesser-known Tigerdroppings community members, lurkers, alters, admin, and a computerized ranking system that considers categories such as post count, join date, reputation, and influence, have tallied the results of the first annual music board power rankings. Only those posters recognizable enough to receive at least one vote from the committee were vetted using the computerized ranking system and added to a tier.

Higher tiered posters start more meaningful threads, are more often agreed with, replied to, upvoted, and their opinions are generally more respected than lower tiered posters.
