10m for a guy who can't play defense and has no power??? They must be hoping he bounces back to the player he was 2 years ago

10m isnt all that bad for a competent, proven MLB hitter. Considering a guy like nick swisher is gonna make 14m next year.
He'll hit a ton of doubles in that park. He's not a great player by any means but he is better then what he showed this past year.

if you take out his bad season last year, an average season for Butler looked like this over 5 seasons from 09-13

Doubt he touches 20 home runs again since he has only done it twice in his professional career. At 28 in what is a peak year for most players his numbers dropped dramatically. I don't think he will be as bad as last year but I don't think he will hit .290/.370/.400 anymore either and he is one of the slowest players in the game which is why he is at the top of GIDP.
